Good afternoon: Our Condominium Corporation entered into an agreement with CE Seasonal for the provision of grass-cutting services for the 2024 summer season. The term of the agreement was from May 1st to November 30, 2024. The total amount of the agreement was $1,864.50 which was paid by 5 post-dated cheques in the amount of $373.90; dated from April 1st to August 1st. The amount was to cover 23 visits.
By June, CE Seasonal had cashed the first three cheques, but they only had cut the grass once. Attempts to contact CE Seasonal by phone proved to be fruitless. After one month of no response the Condominium Corporation decided to terminate the contract with CE Seasonal. This action was communicated to CE Seasonal by an email message dated June 13th (see attached). The email also requested a refund of $984.13; for services paid for but received. Additionally; the email indicated that the two remaining posted-dated cheques would have stop-payments placed on them.
To date the requested refund has not been received by the Condominium Corporation and no explanations have been provided to explain non-delivery of the contracted service. The only contact that we had with CE Seasonal was when they attempted to cash the two cheques which had the stop-payments on them.
To summarize this is a company to avoid.

I entered into a 2024 Grass Cutting contract with C.E. Seasonal, for weekly mowing from May 1 to November 31, 2024. The cost of the services, including a spring and fall clean-up was $1017. C.E. Seasonal had performed our grass cutting last year, so this was a contract renewal for 2024. In July 2024, the company stopped mowing our grass. We sent a number of emails and made numerous phone calls to the company since they stopped fulfilling their contract, none of which have been answered. We are seeking a refund for the months of July, August, September, October and November, but we are unable to get any response whatsoever from the company.

I paid the company $1,412.50 to cut my grass for the period from May 1 2023 until 31 October 2023. They cut the grass twice but neglected to fulfill the rest of their obligations. They promised to refund the money many times even in writing but have failed to do so.
