    Once upon a time and all stories start with once upon a time. The crux of the issue is I have not receive my refund and I don't trust them to voluntarily to refund my money. On January 19, 2023 I ordered an espresso machine from idrinkcoffee.com. The product arrived but did not work. After talking to their technical people they wanted me to send it back at their cost. They sent me a shipping label and I took it to the local ***** store. Once they received the product back they indeed found that it was defective and gave me choice of refund or new machine, I chose a new machine which they promptly sent out to me allegedly at their costs, which is emblazon over their entire site, mentioning free shipping. I received a call from *** saying they needed either an *** number or my US SS number in order to process the order. Sounded bizarre and after talking to *** they stated that the process could not go through without it. After checking credentials of the *** and legitimacy of the request, I gave them my number. Several days went by and nothing seemed to be moving from the *** end. I received a call from *** stating that I owe $341.92 for import and brokerage fees. I immediately contacted Idrinkcoffee.com, talked to Jim H. about this and the fact I received a bill from ***** for $75 for shipping the returned item. H., said this was a mistake and that Idrinkcoffee would attend to it. At this point I made sure I had everything promised in emails. Several days went by with no status or movement of the product ordered. I contacted *** and to find out what was going on, only to find that *** reached out to Idrinkcoffee, but no one returned their phone call. Further there was only contact made by Idrinkcoffee to ***. Nothing was done. Bottom line I'm owed money for a product never delivered and still according to *** has still not been paid for. I don't trust Idrinkcoffee to refund my money voluntarily Owed $1276 & they need to pay all fees.

    Regarding Complaint ID: ********* This has been resolved. We refunded the customer, the problem was not caused by iDrinkCoffee but by US customs. I apologize for not responding to the BBB inquiry, it got sorted to my spam and I was travelling.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    1. It was indeed the responsibility of Idrinkcoffee, not me nor the US government to pay all fees related to shipping and did not do so.  Again this was their promise from the outset both in advertising and the emails provided by me from them promising to do so.  So to blame the US government of their foul up is disingenuous at best *** ***** ***** **** ** ** ******* ******* ************ *******.

    2. Further it took Idrinkcoffee over 2 months to respond to the BBB after complaint was filed. 

    3. Monies were not returned voluntarily but only after I had ******** ******* intervene on my Behalf and refunded me the money and then went after Idrinkcoffee for the monies.

    4. *** is still asking for money from me from this transaction of this date.

    5. ************ ** ***** ****** ******** *** ********* *********** **** *** ******** *** *** *** ******* *** ***** ******* *** ** ** ********* ** ***** ************ ********* *** *** ***** ** *** ********* ******** ** * ****** ****** ***** **** ********* ** *** **** * ************ *** ***  ******* ** ***** ***** *** ****** **** *** ****  And it is only after I drhinkcoffee paid the fees to the US government and *** that they finally got back to the BBB hoping to stay in good standing with them.

    6.  This matter could have have been resolved if and only if they, meaning Idrinkcoffee, bit the bullet and paid the fees and provided me with the service and goods that they advertise.

    But instead they differed on paying the fees and wanted me to pay the fees.  Which caused  this to matter to languish for months with neither Idrinkcoffee nor myself as the customer able to have access to the Espresso Machine in question.  In the end after ******** ******* got involved. Idrinkcoffee finally paid all the fees so they at least had the Espresso Machine in their possession, after ******** ******* refunded my money.  

    7.  The fact that Idrinkcoffee takes no responsibility for what took place is appalling and * ***  to all thefacts on hand, which leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.  

    8.  So to sum, **** continue to come from Idrinkcoffee, TThey continue to blame on others for their missteps and actions.  They did not voluntarily refund my money.  They avoided responding to BBB in responsible and timely manner.  And I'm still held responsible by *** for money owed as of this date.
