      The transaction took place on two separate days. Mar 10 (moved household items to storage from rental property) plus my sons belongings to another Milton address), March 24 moved items from storage to new apartment . The first move was $3503 (Inv. ******), the second $2260 (Inv. ******). The provided service ***** ** ****** ********* was to move our furniture, as well as my sons, out of our rental property in Milton in advance of staging prior to sale of that residence. My son had already rented a new place, while my wife and I could not move in until Mar 24. Because of the interrupted nature of our move, our furniture was temporarily stored in a storage facility in Milton. In the course of the move our antique couch was damaged - a leg was torn off & the frame where it attached was damaged. Their attempt at resolution was to send over a person unannounced with a drill to reattach the leg, despite the fact that the piece of the couch frame that it attached to was missing. A phone call with the head mover ensued, whereupon we were offered $50, then $100 to cover the repair. Our position was that since we did not know the repair cost, we would solicit quotes from qualified furniture repair shops. We could not get a firm quote, but one company mentioned a maximum of $750. Aleks Moving would not commit to any compensation beyond $100, which left me to provide reviews to several websites. After a week or two I was contacted by Aleks Moving who offered me $750 on the condition that I delete the reviews and instead post 5-star reviews. My response that I would, once I received the money, endeavor to modify the reviews to the extent that I could, but could not guarantee anything as I was uncertain if I could. His response was to send the money to my former landlord to act as arbiter. We have tried and failed to discover the name of the companies insurer. * ***** **** ** *** ** *** them to pay the $440 repair bill, or provide the insurers name.,.
