On December 9, 2023, paid $136 to complete the full cost of $450 including ******* benefits balance. The amount paid would cover blue computer screen protection glasses without prescription.
Before proceeding, I have completed an eye exam with the optometrist assigned to this location: 1065 Bronte St S - Unit 1. During the eye exam I expressed to the optometrist that I do not need a prescription for either distance or near vision, as demonstrated in the exam. I just wanted to check my vision and make sure I got computer screen protection since I spend several hours a day in front of a screen.
For some reason the optician decided to include a prescription of 1.5 for reading and also some prescription for distance.
In the first week of January 2024, my wife came to kanda optical to pick up the glasses for me. When I tried them at home, I immediately felt headache and dizziness, the prescription was extremely high even for my wife who has worn reading and distance prescription all her life.
When back to kanda, asked to see the optometrist to request the cancellation of any prescription by showing I was perfectly capable of reading every line on the screen as well as a very small letter she handed out with my bare eyes and without any prescription help.
Also pointed out that even though I am 50 years old at the moment, enjoy perfect eye sight and for no reason would force my eyes to get used to a prescription do not need for the time being.
Left kanda that day clear that the glasses would be replaced by blue filter for computer screen without any kind of prescription.
My wife picked up the glasses a few weeks later, to my surprise kanda made the glasses with 1.0 reading prescription, which makes me feel sick when I try again.
I have requested full refund of my money back including eye exam cost and the administrator Tanveer L. denied my solicitation. In addition Tanveer is asking for a zero prescription from a different optometrist to make the glasses again.
