This accounting firm is sending me notices to pay them for services I did not use. The accountant asked me to send over my documents to file my 2024 tax return and then asked me to pay double the price to file my taxes, which is when I let them know, I will be filing with someone else as their cost is too high. I had previously used their services and the fee was $90. When I asked the firm why the cost was double, they advised me that they charge extra for documents that they find difficult to read. I advised the firm that I would not be going ahead at this cost and I wont be paying for someone to review/ read my documents at a price of $70. Now they are sending me invoices in the mail and have told me if I don't pay $165 (every month they add more interest) they are going to take it to collections. I did not file my taxes with this firm and I have always paid my invoice with them before they did any tax work in my name. They claim they did so much work and that's why they are charging me however they have never done any work on my taxes prior to me paying the invoice first previously. Additionally, the reason why they spent so much time on my documents is because I had to spend hours dealing with their secretary because she was not able to count the number of documents I sent over and confirm that she received them. That was not my fault and she made me do a lot of work to send my documents over because she kept telling me she didn't see them. Lastly, the business started sending me the invoices after I left a poor ****** review.
