    We had hired the company AvcanConstructions to do renovation in our newly purchased house.
    That had 5 line items in our finalisd proposal.
    1)Replacing the cabinet handles in Kitchen with black colour.
    2)Replacement of spandrel / pickets for the staircase which is approved by the owner.
    3)Removal of the fireplace and restoring flooring close to the existing floor and restore its back with rest of the walls as well including plugging of the existing gas line.
    4) Replacement of the existing window with enlarged rectangle window with all the other miscellaneous stuff to do match with existing walls.
    5) Removal of all Garbage is included.

    The works started On June 16 when 50% of project cost was deposited to the business using bank e-transfer.

    The first 3 items were completedin the subsequent days with a promise of 5 days but with an acceptable spillover of few days.

    A further 25% of project was given to the business owner * **** *******  to kick start Window replacement work. However from that day he stopped responded to our calls and gave us future dates when the work will be complete. Every week there was a new excuse, international travel, his car got stolen, his worker in accident. And he has stopped picking up our phone and replying to our messages.

    I have asked him to refund our deposit for last 2 items ( windows and garbage disposal) so that we can hire another vendor to complete the job, however he has not provided with any kind of response.
    There were some defects with job 2 & 3 with respect to finishing and he had promised to take care of them while doing item 4.
