We hired Palmerston Moving back in September 2022 to move my Father's business. They quoted us for 2 Movers at an Hourly rate of $200 plus a Truck fee of $200 and a Storage fee of $450/per unit monthly, which we had agreed to. We were billed $2000 for the move (5pm-1 am) alone which we paid via credit card. We then received another invoice for $2,260.00 after we paid the initial $2000. I found this misleading. The storage facility used by Palmerston was ***** ******* in Etobicoke. We had 5 units and were told we could not access the units. I questioned why and was told that we would have to give my father's name to the front desk so that he could access the units as the units were registered under Palmerston. In November 2022 my Father moved out of the units and got an invoice from ***** ******** The invoice under Palmerston Movers stated $218.66 per unit with tax and a total of $1093.30 for 5 units for 1 month. Without consent, Palmerston was able to charge my $1500 on the CC on file invoiced us for $1,551.00. They paid ***** $1093.30 and billed us $3076.50 which is $1983.20 more than what they paid for the 5 units. When questioned Palmerston stated that they have a "paid partnership" with *****. So I phoned ****** ******* directly and I brought the matter to the attention of the staff member that we were charged $450 + tax per unit by Palmerston. I was informed that Palmerston was violating *****'s policy in their lease agreement by doing this. Their units were then placed on an investigation and I was told to file a complaint against this company ** **** ** ******  They also threatened to take us to collections. Turns out Palmerston was renting units from ***** ******* and then charging their own fees to their unknowing customers for more than double the price. They paid ***** $1093.30 and billed us $3076.50 which is $1983.20 more than what they paid for the 5 units. We paid them $1500 and they are still after the $1551.00. **** ** ***** **** ** **** ******
