    HI *****. regrading the oil change requested for your generator, the manufacturer instructions were to leave the break in oil in the generator for 25 hours of run time. The generator did not have 25 hours run time. This oil is specially formulated to help the process and clean and collect residue from wearing caused during break in. If it were changed too soon it may shorten the life of the engine. I believe this was explained to you. Best Regards, The Gaffney Electrical Team

    The oil was close to two years old. I have reached out the the manufacturer, and was told the oil should be changed every year regardless of the engine break in hours. The work was paid for. I had double checked over the phone that the oil would be changed. The manufacturer can be reached at ###-###-####.
