    Hello,I made an inquiry for the availability of the venue in March through Eventective (*******************) while I was actively searching for a wedding venue. I got a message from ******* (owner and manager of At the Schoolhouse) on March 8, 2025 for the quote.We went to the venue on April 6, 2025 and was toured by **** (Izabela's husband) instead because he said "she was stuck in a Hockey game". Note: she offered the tour yet she didn't even bother emailing us explaining her sudden absence. We found out later on through online reviews that they do this to people frequently.Despite that, both my fianc and I liked the place so we decided to move forward with the booking.They asked for a deposit of $750 to secure the date. We sent the money on April 9, 2025. We were to be sent a link for their online wedding planning portal upon deposit payment. After sending the money we never heard from them or got any response. On April 20, after several emails to them we finally got an email with the link. This is what they do to people we found out later on from online reviews. Once they get money from you they stop communicating and seemingly just want people to cancel and steal their money. We unexpectedly found out a few days later that I am pregnant/high risk so we decided the wedding should be postponed. I emailed them on April 24 informing them of this sudden pregnancy news and having to postpone wedding/asking for deposit back. As expected, they have ignored e-mail/calls and are doing to us what they keep doing to unfortunate couples. The business is also for sale we found out yesterday too. So if anyone is booked for a wedding and the venue is sold they are screwed. No contract was ever signed with these people.*********************************************************************************

    Deposit of $ 1000 was given October 25th 2023. Ive been trying to contact the vendor to find out about deposit return since we are canceling our Wedding arrangements. I , sent 3 emails and called a couple of times but they have not responded

    Had our wedding at this venue October 14th 2023. There was a lack of communication prior to the event. Several emails were sent about video and planning and no replies received which made for a stressful and not pleasant experience. We meet in Sept to go over what we were looking for in terms of flowers and decorations. I was told there would be mums in the front of the venue there was none. The guests were allowed into the venue while I was upstairs getting ready and so I had to hide in a corner. The food was served cold. The owners were smoking weed on the premises during the evening . The wine that we paid an uncorking fee wasnt left on the tables. We paid extra for cheese and cracker platter and was told they would set some aside for us while we did our pictures and that was not done. We paid extra for a smaller cake to cut and keep for anniversary it was dropped by a worker at the venue the cake and my topper were damaged I was told they would replace it and after several attempts to reach out via email we heard nothing back since. The whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths and made for the whole experience of our day not a pleasant one.
