      Spring 2022 we engaged True Angles Renovations (***** **** ******) to do structural repairs to our home in Manotick ON. We paid a deposit of $38,000. That was to cover new doors and windows he was to order. The cost of those was $28,560.00. Those windows and doors, if indeed ever ordered, should be available now. The only information we have is the manufacturer is ***** ****** *******, based in Toronto. They have no record of the order. ****** may have made it through one of several Ottawa-based dealers. He is not responding to phone, text or email messages regarding the order and our deposit. True Angles was also doing renovations for our daughter ***** ************ *** *** ** ********* ****** ******. He asked for and we paid $2040,80 for countertops he said he had ordered. We verified this week that the company he said he made the order through has no record. **** ****** is not responding to any enquiries about the countertops or the remaining work at *** *** ** ********. The countertop company said another True Angles client called with the same issue - money paid to True Angles but there too no order was ever made with the company. We contacted that client and they informed us much word was outstanding on their project. We have since come to understand at least 2 former employees are seeking pay owed and at least 7 clients have work paid for by undone, in some cases going back more than a year. It seems True Angles is no longer a viable company and the ***** has gone in hiding. It seems unlikely True Angles will complete the work at **** ******* ***** or *** *** ** ********. We would like return of the $38,000 for the deposit at the former address and the $2,040.80 for the countertops at the latter. We would also like to know if orders were ever made although that now seems unlikely. Nobody is able to contact or locate **** ******. He is apparently at a cabin on his uncle's property on *** ******* ******.
