Date of Transaction: 2024-06-14 Amount Paid: $5500 The business (Perfect Combustion - ***********************) committed to provide me with a proper install of a new A/C unit.Corners were cut and the installation was done leaving things incomplete, installed incorrectly and in need of further care.Water was leaking from their installation (photos attached) and I now fear my furnace warranty.2 days after the A/C install, I informed these guys that water was leaking from my furnace. I sent them pictures to demonstrate that it was leaking from their installation at the plenum and they refused to come correct and address the issue, amongst refusing to come address the other issues that I had brought to their attention. They cut corners to facilitate their installation, with no regard of their customers....despite my instructions, they ran their pipe lines lower than my ceiling height, leaving me having to now lower my ceiling height once the basement is finished. They were not even capable of properly sealing/caulking the house after they drilled their hole for installation. The business has made zero attempt to fix their mistakes and instead demands the final payment in order to complete their installation properly. I have full right to retain the final portion owing until issues are resolved and the full installation is completed.

I am rejecting this response because:

Demands more money from me when he hasn't finished or completed the install which clearly had deficiencies!

Terrible to demand more money when customers have a right to a holdback (only held back 8% btw) for security purposes and for situations like this where you are being scammed by someone who claims to know what they are doing when they clearly do not. He asked for $400 more from me (after I had just sent him an extra $500!), in exchange for him coming to complete the install properly. Essentially he is saying, pay me in full first and then I'll come back and install the unit the right way. What a joke! No work ethic either.

Again, stay clear! I have reported this to the BBB (they aren't even an accredited business)

Deserves zero stars as a review and his response clearly demonstrates his lack of care and pride in completing a job properly.

The amount has nothing to do with the taxes but more in that I don't trust that he knows what he's doing or that he'd come back. He clearly disregarded my installation instructions and cut every corner he could to save himself on costs.  He also did not respond to me when I asked him if his insurance would cover damages to my furnace from having all that water out on it.

SImply put, this guy *********************** is a scam and does not know what he's doing!

      Sincerely,

      *********************************

I am rejecting this response because:  the company has not reached out to me to complete all the deficiencies that he left behind nor has he provided a response in regards to the possible damage that this has done to my furnace and if he or his insurance will now warranty that for me should his actions of caused damage to that.  I had to have someone else come in and address that leaking problem as this company did not care that they had caused issues (and possibly damaging) my existing equipment.  Due to this persons behavior and poor customer service dealing skills, I do not want him in my home again.  I would only accept for his worker to come and finish up the job and inspect that all is completed properly.  This would involve (at minimum), addressing the area which was leaking and sealing it better, properly caulking and sealing where the tubing comes out of my basement to my outside stone wall, and properly re-running the line from my furnace to the outside wall and doing so in the manner that I requested it to be done in the first place which is up in the floor joist/roof cavity and not lower than my current unfinished ceiling as my plan is to complete my basement in the near future.  Should this not be an acceptable solution, I will commence legal proceedings to ensure that this business is held accountable for their negligence.

      Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

This business and it's representative *********************** are a joke.  He's completely out to lunch and is ridiculous.  He called and left me a message that he was too busy to come now but would come when he had free time.

HE DID NOT REQUEST A CALL BACK and I have and kept the voice message as proof that this guy has no clue what he's doing and does not have any business sense. I AM STILL WAITING FOR HIM TO CALL ME BACK WITH A DATE TO COMPLETE THE INSTALL.

Out of 100 customers, if he were to do the install like he did mine (which is still incomplete and leaking), 100% of those customers would not pay him in full and he would have 100 arguments on his hands for his total and inexcusable incompetence and lack of self awareness.  Just look at the caulking job he did on my exterior wall and you'll see what a complete hack job that this guy is.

I am still waiting for him to have free time to come and correct all of his incompetencies but I once again reiterate that he is no longer allowed on my property and he can send his employee to complete the work as he seemed more reasonable and fit to do a proper job

**** can stay home and it is my recommendation to the BBB that they should monitor his future jobs/installs and if these hack jobs continue, you should look into shutting him down for the consumers sake.

**** should no longer deal with customers and wrongfully inform them that he knows what he's doing and is committing fraud!  It is my recommendation that this person should retire as no further customers should be subjected to his farce of a business nor his lack of professionalism to go along with his belligerent incompetence.

      Sincerely,
