    ! year ago I bought a $15,000 ******* stair lift from Silver Cross Their technician had just quit and they had no replacement so it was installed by their salesman. Broke down twice and they managed to find someone to fix it who is no longer with them. August 2nd stopped working and they said their technician had suddenly quit They sent someone from another firm to work on it who said I was responsible to pay him so I paid 800 for a service contract with him. When I talked to the company they first said the labour warranty had expired but when they double checked it was still good. Apparently I need a new carriage which was ordered but has not yet arrived. so the stair lift has not worked for 3 weeks.I di receive an apology from someone but that did nothing to resolve the problem. My wife and I are both 79 with mobility issues and our home life has been very difficult as a result of this problem. A company that sells mobility products has a responsibility to ensure they can provide immediate assistance if their products break down. Especially one that cost $15000.
