    Contract signed with Steadfast April 2022 for following scope: renovate main floor (new kitchen, new main floor pot lights & flooring & fireplace / tv built-in, decorative wall on upstairs landing, all new windows on main floor, new front door, new patio door at back, updates to main floor laundry room, new paint and trim and post-renovation touch-ups / finishings. We expressed to Steadfast the desire to have full scope completed by Christmas 2022 to which Steadfast verbally agreed and assured. Original start date of Sept.19 was pushed back to Oct.19 due to previous job going longer - this was communicated and acceptable. We reached out to Steadfast the week before Oct.19 to confirm start date and did not get a response, so we proceeded to get our kitchen prepped for planned start date. Steadfast contacted us after Oct.19 advising he was still tied up with other project/s and would be delayed further, which was frustrating. Steadfast started demolition on November 2nd for 1.5 days but then did not come back to continue with work for another 2 weeks, which was also frustrating to live in a gutted main floor with no progress or plan communication. We asked Steadfast for a schedule of work to be completed through end of contracted scope and Steadfast provided it end of November. Steadfast continuously fell behind and only completed half the scope by Christmas, and advised that windows/doors would not be done until the Spring 2023 due to new job beginning in Jan. in St. Catherines. Dec.23 is the last day Steadfast here working and he advised he'd return over Christmas break and into January to wrap up indoor work. Steadfast has not come back since and has barely responded to our phone, text, and email messages asking for updates. In response to our frustrated emails Steadfast has 3x said they were coming to wrap-up that week only to no-show and provide no communication. Planned 2mo reno has doubled in length and no plan/communication. We are frustrated and feel misled.
