    Sept 6,2022 crew came to cut several trees, The main one I wanted done was "Poplar tree behind the house to cut off branches and leave stem standing" this is from the contract, They were working on it but I did not realize they had not taken the branches off the top, leaving the trunk. They finished up and I sent them a cheque for the full amount on Sept 11,2022. I called when I realized they didnt finish the job and have been trying ever since. They said they would be up this past June but didnt show. I have visited their office on several occasions. **** **** ******* ** ***** ** I sent an email but have had no response. I now worry about the branches coming down. It is a very old, big tree over my boathouse. I had an estimate from another tree co. and they want $1,500.00 to do the same job.

    Hello ******,

    We received your letter in the mail. ***** ** *** ****** **** ** *** *** ******* ********* **** ********** *** **** ** *** *** ****** ** **** ***** would you please be able to send us a copy of what you sent to us prior?

    On August 2, 2022 ****** called our company and requested a quote for tree removals at her cottage in Wiarton. The estimator was pricing in the area and did a quote August 2nd, which was sent to her via email. She opened the quote on August 10th, to which she signed and approved it  that same day. Job was scheduled for Sept 6th.
     According to the foreman and the other crew members she was on site the whole time they were there and thanked them for the good job they did before they left.
     On Sept 7th, the job was closed and an invoice was sent to her via email. We received a mailed cheque on Sept 16th to pay her account in full. Mid October ****** called in with a complaint that the job is NOT complete.

    She dropped by the office several times and spoke to Josh and I about the situation and admitted she was on site while the crew was there. ***** ** ** *** *** ******* *** **** ***** *** **** *** ****** ******* she was the one giving the guys the instructions. According to the foreman she only wanted the hanging branch removed from the poplar while they were there, and on her complaint she was aware that they were working on the tree!

    She mentioned we haven't responded to her last email. We have talked since then tho and an email was not necessary.
    She mentioned we have blocked her number. No we didn't. We are still getting her calls.

    All we ask her to do is understand that we cannot come back and do more work without being paid to do the extra work , we do not invoice before a job is completed. Our work order has been closed. *** ** ** ******* **** she has a large amount of work required to do on this tree , as she mentioned in the email that she has gotten another quote . At this point I say her job is complete and we have discussed that we can not do more work until we further look at the job and provide her with a price to do the job.
    We have been in the neighborhood several times since and haven't been able to contact her when there.

     * ******* ********** *** ***** ** ********** ******* ********* *** ******* ***** *** ** ***** *** ***** ** * ***** *** **** ** **** ** **** * **** **** **** ** ** ***** ** ***** ******** **** ** **** **** **** **** **********

    And we call a job completed when the invoice has been sent and paid.

    I have reviewed the response from Schmidt and cant agree with it.  Although I was "on site", I was not outside since I did not
    want to be around them while they were cutting.  I saw them remove two branches from that poplar that were hung up in the trees and thought they were taking the top off at that time.   Since I cannot see the top of that tree from my windows, I did not realize it hadnt been done.
    as per my contract.    I thought they did a good job on the other trees even though they did leave a mess with the shavings/sawdust.  I still feel that they did not complete the job as contracted.
