I had service done on my SUV with this company on 04/25/2022. I was advised that my vehicle would require a starter installation. Once the work had been completed and paid for, I drove my vehicle home and noticed a grinding noise that was not there before. I brought it back to Spotless where the mechanic, Manny, stated that there is a year warranty on the starter so continue to drive it and come back in a week if it is still making that noise. The following week the vehicle didn't start, so I had it towed back to Spotless. I was then advised that they would install another starter (**** Product) to see if that was the issue. The noise continued with the second starter. The owner of Spotless, not sure of his name, stated that it was now a flywheel issue. At that time I brought my vehicle in to get a second and third opinion from 2 other mechanics. Both stated the same thing! It is rare for a flywheel to be damaged unless it could have happened by the starter or the mechanic who installed it. I returned to Spotless to explain what I was told. The owner than suggested that he would file an investigation with **** **** ***, which is the company they deal with that provides their starters, to see if that could have been the cause! I found that to be a little biased as the investigation team is the same company. In the meantime, I went and purchased an original starter, and had another mechanic install it. Spotless requested the receipt of the new starter I had purchased, and the box it came in to return one of the other 2 starters that they installed. At this point my mechanic did in fact see that the flywheel had been damaged. I then reached out to the investigation team (**** **** ***) who confirmed the original work order that I paid had been returned to Spotless. I called Spotless, spoke to the owner, who denied receiving the money back. I am not happy with the service, the communication or the company and my next step is to contact my lawyer
