    I purchased a used 2021 Subaru Forester from Subaru of North Bay on Feb 5, 2025.I purchased tire and rim protection on the tires of the vehicle for $599.I was told the tires were in good condition. They came with a set of winter tires on rims and summer tires on rims. The summer tires were stored at the dealership, so unseen at time of purchase.I went to the dealership to get my summer tires installed on April 23 rd. They did so and charged almost $100. I made an appointment for an oil change on May 14th. At this appointment the technician or mechanic wrote that the 4 tires had a thread count of 3/32 on all 4 tires. I have this documentation.I called the dealership and was put through to the manager that stated the technicians measured the tires wrong. She then gave me two different readings from the safety from the website. I had my own personal mechanic check these tires and one was lower than 3/32 but the other three were reading 3/32 in the middle tire ring.I have texted and phoned the dealership with no reply.I feel disheartened and saddened that the tires were in such bad shape and installed on my car at a cost to me with no mention of how thread bare they were until I returned for an oil change three weeks later.I would like some acknowledgment from Subaru for their lack of transparency, lack of care and for lying to me about the condition of the tires.I have picked up my winter tires from their storage to also get checked by my mechanic.The fact she blamed their mechanic without even seeing the tires speaks volumes. Thank you

    The manager of Subaru has contacted me. Once we went over the particulars, he offered me the $700 I requested or new tires and installation free from his dealership. I requested the $700. He said he would send it in the mail. I still have not received it yet. Will update you once I receive it.

    We have resolved the issue with the customer. When she purchased the vehicle, it was safetied with the winter tires. Unfortunately the ******* didn't meet standards when she switch the tires over. As a result we have offered to pay for the replacement tires. She was happy with the resolution. Attached is a screenshot of the email response to me from the customer.
