I was a student at *** College for the pharmacy technician program. I started September 2023, I am not an OSAP student I was making monthly payments. April 2, 2024 I choose to withdrawal from the program, I felt that the education I was getting was not going to prepare me for the exams I am required to write after the program to receive my license. I had meetings with ***** and *** the course coordinators who tried to convince me to stay, I decided not. I then received an email from *********************** telling to keep doing the program and see what happens, I said no. I then received a phone call from ***************************** from ******* aid stating that because I was 50% through "year one" I was required to pay for the rest of the year (that I will not be attending), a total of $2520.61 they would like me to pay. I have reviewed the contract I signed and nowhere does it state that any student that withdrawals from the program needs to continuing paying. I have asked the college to provide me with where it states that. If it does in fact say that and I signed it I would pay but it does not. ******* keeps telling me to look on page 3 and 4 of my contract but I have had a lengthy conversation with her as that section talks about students who have paid for the entire year and their refund. I pay monthly payments so I have paid for all the education I have received.
