      Prior to even meeting with a LIT and giving them my financial situation, Lauren S. a client service administrator gave me a quote on my bankruptcy which would cost me 915 dollars a month for 21 months (without any information), and said a consumer proposal would only cost 400 a month for 60 months which is what the other two agencies told me.
      But the 915 dollars a month ** * ******* *** *** ****** *** **** ***** *** *** ******** ********** ******** * **** *** ******* *** ********** **** ******* ****** *** WOULD NOT RECOMMENED AT ALL!

      msi Spergel inc. (“Spergel”) has reviewed the negative comment posted by ******* ****** (“*******”). ******* contacted Spergel on June 21, 2024, and spoke to a customer service representative with respect to filing for a bankruptcy. Contrary to the assertion in *******’s complaint that no financial information was provided, Spergel notes that ******* provided the customer service representative with his monthly income but refused to provide information with respect to the monthly income of his wife. Based on the financial information provided by *******, the surplus income to be paid in a bankruptcy was calculated in accordance with the provisions of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Directive 11R2-2024 issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy taking into account the Superintendent’s standard for family of two and dividing that in half due to the non-disclosure of the wife’s income. Spergel cannot comment on why *** and ***** came up with a different calculation however, it is safe to assume that ******* provided *** and ***** with additional financial information that was considered in the calculation of the surplus income by *** and *****. On the one hand ******* is asserting that he provided no financial information to Spergel and on the other he is also admitting that Spergel’s quotation with respect to the consumer proposal was comparable with other firms. Spergel could not have provided any quotation for a bankruptcy without any financial information provided by *******. The calculation of surplus income in a bankruptcy is not at the discretion of a Licensed Insolvency Trustee rather the calculation is prescribed in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and in the Directives issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. Spergel can only provide a calculation of surplus income required in a bankruptcy based on information provided by the debtor. Accordingly, Spergel objects to the publication of this review as it is slanderous and factually incorrect. We trust that this review will be taken down immediately.

      I disclosed my income, but even if you subtracted it from the superintendent guideline for a single person it is 2610$. My surplus and monthly payments would be no where close to the 915 dollars she quoted me immediately. It wouldn't have mattered if I provided information regarding my wife's income because with the surplus I wouldn't even be oweing close to 915 for 21 months. Regardless on the phone with Lauryn S. she is clearly not an LIT, yet she's giving quotes out without any numbers or calculations. The whole point of the call was to meet with a proper LIT. I forgot to add that she mentioned there would be an upfront cost for the bankruptcy or consumer proposal in "Hamilton" ***** ** ******* * *** *** ****. ******* *** ***** *** ******** *** ** **** **** ***** *** **** ** ****** *** **** ** ****** ************ *** ******* ***** ** ** ******* This review is not slanderous and it is just the honest truth that I went through with Spergel.

      They owe me over $7000.00 and have yet to be paid back for over payment and wont return emails/phone calls regarding the missing money. I had everything paid off in 3 months and my credit score kept going down with creditors tarnishing my score for balances paid in full. This made it very hard to find a place to live since all landlords do credit checks. How do you keep over $7000.00 of money that is not yours!!!!!

      The communication with Jody has been ********** to say the least. Mistakes were made and I had to go to my MP to fix issues caused by this bankruptcy. I am still owed money back from them because of the mistakes made!
