    Called someone in customer care regarding my deceased mother's account on behalf of ******** or ********. As I explained that I was confused I was ****** told by someone named either Sarah or Clara that she would only explain it to me one last time. I then told her over and over that my mother was deceased, that I was confused and needed information and that I really didn't need attitude from her. She proceeded to ******** tell me that she's hanging up on me then ended the call. I've never had a customer service interaction this distressing in my entire life. She was **** from the start with very little patience or compassion ***** * ***** ********* ** * ***** *** ** * **** ****** **** ****** *******.     Emerald Highland is owned by the same people who own ******* **** ********** and **** *******. There are numerous (77+) complaints about their *********** cold calls advising they're government accredited agents regarding rebates. They then get your banking information and start making monthly withdrawals for appliance protection....check the BBB website. One name associated to them all...Jeffrey (Jeff) D.

    I replied to an internet add for "Canada Home Protection Plan" for house appliances, heating and cooling systems approximately three (3) years ago. Initially, the company was very good in response to problems with appliances plus cleaning of furnace and air conditioning systems, which were all bought new when we moved into our new home two (2) years earlier. Then in March of 2021 we had problems with our refrigerator, electric stove and dishwasher. A repairman was sent to our home reviewed the appliance and said he had to file a report with head office. We never heard from the company and after many, many calls we were told the repairman had left the company but nothing else happened. Again after many calls received a call from someone named Ashe, asked what were the problems explained to him how the appliances were working and the repairman sending in a report. Ashe said he would have a repairman come to our home and get back to him, the repairman did arrived and it was the same repairman previously he checked the appliances and did a report. Heard nothing tried to call Ashe several times no response. Finally called Emerald Highland again spoke to lady in July 2022 informed they do not repair our refrigerator. Asked why we never informed, I stated you have broken contract and to please stop taking payments. Informed had two (2) years left on contract, again I stated you have broken contract, then informed she would talk to her manager and get back to me the next day - this never happen. Tried to call left messages and no response to date. I would like contract cancelled and return of all payments since March of 2021 to today's date. Overall this company has poor customer service and its protection plan is terrible.
