    Empyrean Merchant services have engaged in very questionable business practices and I now find myself locked into a lease which did not provide the service promised and is no longer in my possession, was never used and returned to the Leasor months ago with presumably limited legal recourse. Since then, I have been engaged in both a verbal and written battle to get this lease cancelled.
    Empyrean supplied me with a lease-to-own, I was only told it was a lease, for a handheld that was supposed to provide USD functionalities into my USD account. I already had a handheld, but they insisted I needed a new one to provide these features. So, after endless onboarding hoops and despite having been a customer for over 4 years, they were unsuccessful in getting the USD capabilities provided. As a result, when ****** called and said they could provide this without issue and hoops, I cancelled my First Data and Lease of units and returned two handheld to the Leasor. Despite this return and never having used the ****** unit, I am still being charged monthly for both units, one of which didn't even provide what it was supposed to, never had a transaction processed on it, is no longer in my possession and here's the kicker, they lost/won't return the ****** handheld or other handheld which I'm still "legally" obligated to pay for.
    In short, be wary of companies who make you take more than you need, then charge you for both, won’t return what is now legally mine and are still continuing to charge me for TWO handhelds which are not in use and in their possession. This is not a ********** business looking to work with their clients, **** *** ******** **** ******* *** *** ***********
    It’s in my lawyers hands now.
