    I moved from Toronto to Vancouver in Feb/Mar 2024, with ****** Moving who are agents of Atlas Van Lines. This was my 4th long distance move, and by far the worst. My goods were packed carelessly and damaged as a result, and Atlas refused to accept responsibility as they are not noted on the bingo sheet at the time of delivery. ****** ** the insurance as it will not cover anything if you unpack boxes yourself, even if the damage is a result of careless packing by the movers on the origin side.
    Atlas lost a suitcase of mine, which I discovered two days after my goods were delivered. I immediately informed them, and after a month of no updates, submitted a claim for the lost suitcase. It was immediately rejected because the suitcase was not marked as missing on the bingo sheet. They use this sheet as the single source of truth, so unless you are 100% certain that your belongings are all there and undamaged, do not sign it. Fortunately they did find my suitcase after extending their "trace", after outright denying that they had it. The fact that they took no responsibilty upfront is quite frankly insulting, given that the suitcase went on the truck in Toronto and did not come off the truck in Vancouver. Instead they do everything possible to avoid liability.
    On the Toronto side, they filled out a form indicating what was packed. On this form is a tiny legend that they use to indicate existing damage on packed items, presumably to avoid liability issues. This is fine in theory, but they marked every single piece of furniture that I own as damaged. They even marked a branch new stroller still in it's original packaging as damaged. They do not explain this legend and system when you are signing the documents. This is clearly a play to avoid any liability, and as a customer, makes me lose all trust in the company.
    I have plenty of other horror stories from this move, but given character limits, cannot describe them all. **** ******* ***** ** *** *** *********** ******
