The company in question has started work on providing us with a heater, but has now left us to dry and said that they needed to order a specific part. We have been without heat now for two months in the middle of winter. This has caused strain on us as we've had to buy multiple heaters to try to stay warm. We have had our water freeze and as property owners, this is extremely stressful. The contractor has not provided a timeline on when the part will come in. They say they will charge us for the part, but have not provided even a rough estimate of the costs. The most difficult part is that Glenn Lasher comfort service tells other contractors that they cannot work to provide heating to us in the middle of winter or they will lose their licenses. This is unfair as we have been stuck without heat for two months. We are concerned about the well-being of our property, and ourselves. We wish for Glenn Lasher to finish the job as we discussed, we will be happy to pay them for their services, and then we can finish with another contractor.Any assistance would be much appreciated,

First off, the Wall Heater was purchased and supplied from ************** by the customer ******* ****. We were called by the customer in October of 2024, to quote the installation of the unit they had already purchased. We did a site visit to quote on October 18, 2024, then we waited for the customer to call us back concerning what our company had available for an installation date. At the time of the house visit, they lead us to believe this was an additional heat source to their current Propane Fireplace and Electric Baseboard Heating. We scheduled them for their wall heater installation on November 22, 2024.
If they had of purchased the wall heater from our company, we would have most necessary parts in stock or readily available at one of our suppliers. With the unit being purchased from Home Depo and being a different brand to what we commonly install, we had to reach out to many suppliers as to availably and delivery.

Unfortunately, the suppliers were having difficulty getting the right part (Regulator) needed for the underground installation of the piping. Our supplier could not give us an arrival date for the delivery, as this part was coming up from the U.S.A across the border.  This is a wall heater and is not intended to supply heat to the whole home, so they would still have to be careful of pipes freezing.

We have left messages to keep them updated about their part (Regulator). We did however stop contacting them once you emailed to let me know about this complaint.

I have attached a copy of the technician's report regarding the part that was required to finish the job.

The most difficult part is that Glenn Lasher comfort service tells other contractors that they cannot work to provide heating to us in the middle of winter or they will lose their licenses.      This is false/untrue. I don't know where they got this information from, but we never spoke to other contractors regarding our customers, nor tell them we would lose their licenses. We keep all our customer names and information confidential, and do not discuss such information.

This is the first complaint to the Better Business Bureau that we have ever had. Our company has been in business since 1952. We can't control our suppliers or their delivery schedules, and the supplier's do their best to get the parts to us as quickly as possible.

Once we receive the part we will contact them to have the job finished..
