I was told to buy a type of paint for my bathroom (very expensive) prior to the painting job for my upstairs washroom. The person came over to paint, my dog barked at him and even though they are now secured in the basement, they tell me its not safe. We just had a Reno done by ********** & the worker was her for a week and no one was hurt by my pets. By the end of the job, my dogs and him were friends.

I found this company on the ********.  I ****** mapped the address and there is no such company in that location.  They made me go to Dulux paint on ******** ** in ****** and I bought the paint ( a gallon of paint for the job it cost me $100).  They mentioned that the job would cost $250 plus paint.  They get to my house this morning and told me that my house stunk (no one came into my house and blamed it on my dogs).  Last week **** came to my house and installed tub & tile, took them a week and my dogs or my house was not an issue.  I think there is a link between the place I bought the paint and the company.

Subject: Unwanted Complaint Regarding Bathroom Repaint Project

    Dear BBB,

    Attention: **** ********
    ******************************************************************
    Daytime Phone: ***********
    E-mail: *************************

    #ID: ********

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address an unfortunate situation that has come to your attention involving a complaint made by Ms. **** ******** regarding a bathroom repaint project.

On November 4, 2024, our company initiated contact with Ms. ******** in response to a lead received from ********, expressing interest in the aforementioned project. Subsequently, a mutually agreed price was established, and a start date was scheduled for November 6, 2024, at 8:30 AM.

Upon our arrival at the designated time of 8:20 AM, our team observed an unsanitary environment at the property. The presence of dog excrement on the premises and a strong odor emanating from inside the home raised immediate concerns about safety and hygiene. Therefore, our team made the conscientious decision to decline the project due to these unacceptable conditions.

Following our decision, Ms. ******** expressed dissatisfaction and made threats to report our company to various platforms, including the BBB. We have already communicated the circumstances to ********, the lead-generating platform, and have been reimbursed for the lead cost. Our account with ******** has been duly noted to reflect the challenges faced during this particular engagement.

We have also informed Ms. ******** that should she proceed with lodging a complaint, we reserve the right to pursue legal recourse in response to any defamatory actions she may take. A formal legal notice outlining this stance was forwarded to her. Additionally, we are prepared to reimburse Ms. ******** for the paint she bought, to facilitate an amicable resolution.

We regret the circumstances that have led to this communication and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Should you require any further information or follow-up regarding this issue, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Thank you for your attention to this sensitive situation.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ********

Thank you for looking into this complaint.

The company sent me a letter via text (that I still have).  The company (if they are a valid business) did not bother to put my full name on the letter that they sent, only my first name.  The letter also threatened me with legal action. I also checked the address on the letter and it is not a valid address for the name of the business.  This seems suspicious to me.

i suspect that they low-balled the estimate of $250 for the bathroom and then made up an excuse such as stating my house stinks and that my dogs pooped in the front yard. I dont  allow my dogs to go to the bathroom in the front yard or the neighbours  would complain. If anyone is being defamatory, it is the business.  What kind of business treats their clients like this?

    Thank you,
