    On June 10, 2022 we (****** ***** and **** ******) brought a blue Nissan Altima plated **** *** to Midas Auto Service Experts at 450 Bronson Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario. We were introduced to *****, who was the person who gave us the Estimate and explanation. Upon arrival, the vehicle was very loud due to exhaust system issues. It was put on a hoist and inspected. The result we were told was a pipe from the manifold and the Flex Pipe. The pipe from the manifold was to be cut and an extension pipe was to be welded in and a new Flex Pipe was to be installed. We were given an estimate which included two hour's labour. We agreed to have the work done because we were trying to get it safety checked and so there was no more carbon monoxide coming into the vehicle. After the vehicle was put on the hoist, a phone call was received by Lisa that the car was finished. The final cost of the job was $603.00 which was more than the estimate. Leaving Midas and driving home, the muffler dropped down, dragging along the road underneath the car. The muffler was not in the best shape already but it was damaged further. It was tied up by wire, but somehow the wire was cut and it was barely able to be tied up again. This caused a very dangerous situation because the muffler could have come off and cause an accident someone could have been very badly hurt. The scope of work to be done was detailed prior to commencing.
