RUDE OWNER / INCONSISTENT ORDER SPECIFICATION QUESTIONS RESULTING IN UNMATCHED WINDOWS I ordered 2 picture windows a month apart. Both times I went to the store and answered all questions re what I wanted. UNFORTUNATELY I DID NOT HAVE THE SAME ORDER TAKER FOR BOTH WINDOWS NOR WAS I SHOWN A SAMPLE OF WHAT I WAS ORDERING AND THIS IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. Specifically, after installation of the second window (close to the first) I noticed a drastic difference in window style. The first window, on the exterior, had a wide (roughly 2" sculpted) border around the glass (later on I learned that this was called a SASH) and the second window had none. They were not even close to matching!I called the store and was told that there was nothing they could do but offer me a 10% discount (supposedly their profit margin) on a new window. The person I talked to also said that it was 50% their fault and 50% mine.... like really when you obviously missed a key question (DO I WANT A SASH OR NO SASH) when taking the order?I next spoke to the owner who was rude and arrogant, yelling at me (I did NOT raise my voice), telling me that it was 100% my fault for not knowing what to order (I HAD NEVER ORDERED A WINDOW BEFORE IN MY LIFE!) and that I should have told them of my first order. How about having your order takers ask the SAME SPECIFICATION QUESTIONS for each order and SHOWING THE CUSTOMER AND EXAMPLE of what they are ordering to ensure consistency? YOUR ORDER TAKER MADE A SIGNIFICANT MISTAKE (IN NOT ASKING IF I WANTED A SASH OR NOT) WHICH YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO ADMIT TO!The owner also commented that I had asked for a free replacement (I had NOT) and that HE KNEW WHO I WAS (said in a threatening voice). This was absolutely bizarre because call display would have shown my name and number and he knew the orders! He then ranted on about being in small claims court (no idea where this came from as I had made no mention of this) before banging down the phone.

I ordered a window from aluminum warehouse in ******. We were brought into the showroom and received excellent and courteous service from the (very knowledgeable staff). This was six star service. When we picked up the window, we asked if we could see some of the eavestrough we had seen during our previous visit to the showroom. For whatever reason, we were not allowed into the showroom (COVID was mentioned, nobody wearing a mask, and the showroom sign said open). When I asked to speak to a manager, a person who pretended to be the owner told us to leave the premises, or he would call the police. I am 72 years old, and nobody has ever called the police on me, so this sounded interesting. In the end, nothing happened, of course. The window was placed outside, and my request for help to put in it my truck was denied by the (supposed) owner. After the owner closed the door in our face, two (obviously embarrassed) staff members came out, and courteously placed the window in my truck. A strange experience: a wonderful showroom, very knowledgeable, courteous and professional staff members (deserving six stars) and one rotten apple (supposedly the owner) who brings down the whole experience in a single swoop. Never experienced such a thing before. Thanks guys, for treating customers better than the owner does.

When you originally placed your order on March 14th 2023, you were brought into the showroom with an appointment. The front showroom is closed for walk ins and has been closed for walk ins since March 13th 2020. The front showroom has always been by appointment only as it clearly states on the door signage. You did not have an appointment as you were just picking your product up that was ordered for you. Pick *** do not require appointments because they are performed at the rear of the building where the warehouse is, not in the front showroom. You questioned the staff about product (half round PVC gutter and components) that is not available to be sold by Aluminum Warehouse. The staff let you know this. You again were extremely adamant about us selling that particular product and proceeded to demand entry numerous times into the closed showroom to look for yourself. You were explained to again that the only product we have available to us is on full display in the service showroom at the rear of the building in which you were standing in. You continued to argue with the staff about the product being available through Aluminum Warehouse as well as continuously demanding entry into the building. The staff member you were interacting with then approached the manager for assistance stating the person in the back showroom is continuously demanding entry into the front showroom with no appointment, becoming very unruly and making me feel uncomfortable. The manger then proceeded to let you know again, the showroom is closed and by appointment only as stated in writing. He went even further explaining that since the beginning of Covid the front showroom was closed and then only reopened for appointment visits. There are two businesses that operate in our building, sharing the same showroom. The second business also operates by appointment only as well. The reason for appointments is to not have overlapping clients in the showroom. There were already clients in the showroom with an appointment with the second business at the time. There was also no mention of anything else in regards to Covid nor are there any mandates/bylaws stating masks are required by **************. There should have been no surprise that no masks were being worn. Appointments are a company policy, we are a privately owned business, and we are not required to allow access to the general public to the front showroom or any part of the building. The open sign in which you commented about is a standard electronically lit sign that you see every business present in the front window to allow the public to know the business is open. You then proceeded to become unpleasant with the manager, and once realizing there was no making you happy and staff growing more uncomfortable, it was left to no option other than to let you know that if you will not leave the premises voluntarily then the authorities would be called to assist, as it is a private business and private property. After realizing that entry was not going to be permitted without an appointment regardless of the demands made, you finally made mention that the main reason for your visit was picking up a custom ordered window. The manager and staff proceeded to open the overhead door to place the product outside of the warehouse for you, which was right next to where your vehicle was parked for the pickup. The door was not closed in your face, you were still standing inside the rear service area, about 10 feet away from the overhead door. The closed button was pressed and the slow electronically moving overhead door proceeded to close. We are not legally allowed or responsible to load your vehicle. The loading and securing of a load is to be performed by the driver of the vehicle. It is your responsibility at the end of the day that the load is secure to your satisfaction to drive safely and according to the law. All of our customers load their own product into their own vehicles. The one staff member assisted you by lifting the product onto the tailgate of your vehicle and was instructed by the manager to do so to help out. You then secured it yourself. This is outside of the standard service. The staff were not embarrassed but rather shocked at the situation and continuous misunderstanding that the showroom was not accessible without an appointment. Thank you for your business.
