I purchased a 10-day access pass for a shared workspace in December. This is an open concept area for people to come and go to work, as well as a shared cafeteria area for people who rent monthly offices. There is no indication on the main website, or initial invoice that purchasing a 10 day pass is a recurring subscription service. They have it listed at a monthly price, but the general understanding is that is the cost for one month, since they also offer a prorated price for purchases made mid month. There is no way to cancel services online, or is there any instructions on how to do so. I spoke with their customer service and they told me that all of their packages are billed monthly regardless if it's an office space rental or the "drop in" service. And I would have had to give them 30 days notice to cancel my day-pass subscription. I asked them why they charge a day pass monthly if it's different than renting an office space and they were unable to give me an answer other than "that's how it is". I explained to them that there is nothing explicitly stating that day passes are automatically billed monthly. And nothing on their website or invoice indicates that there will be a recurring charge for the service. Their T&C are very generic and are written and understood in a way that would indicate renting office space, rather than using a day pass. Since there was nothing on the account page that indicated that I would need to cancel, I assumed that the day passes weren't a recurring subscription. I had to call in and speak with someone to get them to cancel the account. I asked them if they would refund the charge for January, since I was only in the city of their location for 3 weeks and no longer in the region as of December 23rd, but they refused to offer any refund, or compensation, knowing full well the information on their website is misleading. There is no reason for a day pass to be billed on a recurring basis.

      Business Response

      Date: 19/02/2025

This is the first complaint we receive about this. It's unfortunate that the client didn't try to reach out to management to have this resolved before reaching out to the BBB.

      The client has been refunded.
