Direct Bore, like most companies that do utility work in the suburbs, are constantly issued bad reviews based on homeowners not having full clarity over the situation. Most homeowners don't know about the municipal right-of-way that usually encompasses the first 4 - 6 meters of property from the curb. If you build or place improvements in this area (including newly paved driveways, retaining walls, etc) they are susceptible to being disturbed by construction activities regardless of how new they may be. Like it or not, most of us don't own all the way to the road. Construction companies work off plans that they don't design and are approved by the municipalities, if you're angry your driveway got cut, contact your city right-of-way department.DB did work in front of my home and also cut my ****** line. When I asked the ******* he told me that most telecom companies (Bell, ******* etc) do not pay their locate technicians to mark the small wires to the home. I questioned him and he showed me the locates he was issued from Ontario 1call and the wire to my house (or anyone else's house) was not included. I asked if there was any way to fix it on site and he told me that they don't have the testing equipment nor are they allowed access to the ****** pedestals and that the only option was to call ****** and report the outage myself. Not what I was hoping to hear because I was now without internet while working from home, but if they aren't told the cable was there by the locate issued by ******, how are they supposed to avoid hitting it?It's been 6 months since they completed for work and now I have lovely high-speed fiber access to my home, the restoration of my property was done well any everyone I spoke to from DB was very professional.

Terrible service with Direct Bore and not taking ownership of a problem they created. Just in May, I had a new driveway installed and then DB comes and digs up the front part of my driveway (************** property). They don't bother to fix it properly and when I ask them to do so, they send me on a dead end with the ************** right of way department. Direct Bore (in tandem with Bell) have no concern about customer property and just want to get a job done as quickly as possible to get paid.

I recently had the unfortunate misfortune of dealing with DirectBore, and I cannot emphasize enough how utterly disastrous and unprofessional my experience has been. If I could give them zero stars, I would. To put it bluntly, my encounter with DirectBore was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Their lack of competence and disregard for customer satisfaction is unparalleled.First and foremost, they were contracted by Bell to install fiber internet near my property, and during the process, they managed to damage my existing internet cable provided by another telecommunications company. When I reported the issue to them, their response was nothing short of shocking. They flat-out refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused, leaving me without internet access for an extended period.Their dismissive attitude towards their own mistakes is a testament to their unprofessionalism. Instead of owning up to their actions, they chose to wash their hands of any accountability, showing a complete disregard for the consequences of their negligence. To add insult to injury, their lack of urgency in rectifying the situation was infuriating. I was left without internet access, affecting my work, studies, and daily life, and they showed no concern for the inconvenience they had caused.I strongly advise anyone considering the services of DirectBore to think twice and explore other options. This company's blatant disregard for their customers' rights and their shocking level of incompetence make them a company to avoid at all costs. My experience with DirectBore was nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone else.In conclusion, steer clear of DirectBore if you value your sanity and expect even a modicum of professionalism and accountability from a service provider. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life, and I hope others can avoid the same distress I've had to endure.
