I wanted to add a sunroom onto my home. A sales **** came and I was specific as to what I wanted. From day one I said I didn't want patio doors but rather a single door leading to the back yard. I showed him the type of door I wanted ... He said " no problem." I wanted a transom window against my existing house then a single door. When the components were delivered there were patio doors. When I commented on this I was informed that " they didn't do single doors " The diagrams I have showing materials etc. to be sent for a building permit show a single door. I was then told , a single door could be installed only if they put a solid wall butting onto the house ! I failed to see why a transom window could not have been made On a least a couple of occasions work done one day was taken apart and redone the next day. I called about this and was told " things change " to which I responded " the diagrams are specific ... I need someone here who can have the work done properly the first time." I indicated on day one that I would have the company who installed the steel roof on my house put on the same roof on the sunroom. I asked if in the original quote the cost of the materials and labour to do the roof were deducted from the overall cost as they weren't doing it. I really didn't receive a direct answer so I don't know if I paid for the roof twice. I was present when the Building Inspector came. He said he didn't have to come back until the final inspection as long as specific pictures of work being done was sent him. At the end of the project I asked if it was time to call the inspector. I was told " you don't need a final inspection ". I called the township and was told " yes you need a final inspection " When he came to inspect , he failed the project as the required pictures and information were not sent to him. The General Manager made excuses which were nonsense. Overall I am not pleased . I advise not to use this company. ***** *****

Dear Mr ***** ***** We were very surprised by this one-star review after receiving an email from you praising our workers and no indication from you during the project that you were not satisfied. I understand there was an issue with the door being a patio door instead of a swing door. A patio door did fit better with the design of your room, and I can see the designer proposing this, and this is what was ordered. Our construction manager did have a meeting with you and did explain it could be replaced with a swing door, but there would be a small delay. You chose to stay with the patio door. There was no issue on our part replacing the door. We care about the work we do, and we make sure it is performed to the highest standards. Our construction manager was not happy with something the workers did and had them redo it. We wont apologize for ******** did mention to the salesperson that you would hire your own roofer for the steel roof, because of this he did not price a steel roof for your project. I believe we mentioned this to you in two different occasions, and there is no roofing in the quote or contract. There was an email sent to you answering this question on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 2:09 PM For the mention of not requiring a final inspection this is surprising as everyone in our organization knows there requires a final inspection. I spoke to our general manager and she said she mentioned there will be a final inspection. I would say for this one there was a missed communication or understanding. On the final inspection and pictures. Yes, our worker did tell the inspector he would send pictures. Unfortunately, he got busy and forgot to send them. They were sent as soon as we found out and everything was good. The inspection also failed because of a missing railing that you did not want. We went back and installed a railing at no cost to you. We call this good customer service. We have been in business since 1987 and we sell and install prefabricate sunroom and we do renovations and additions. We are the only *************** still in business in ****** since 1987. We pride ourselves on giving clients the best product and service. Our philosophy is that there is no problem that cannot be *********** recommendation to you is that if you are going to do another project of this size in the future is communicate well with the company of your dissatisfaction during the project so actions can be taken to resolve the issue and not wait to the end and post a one star review. This is not fair to you or the company that is performing the work.Your sunroom is an amazing-looking room and we hope it will bring you enjoyment for the years to come as all our sunrooms have done for over 38 years.I dont think we deserve a one-star review for this project, but unfortunately this is a personal decision on your part, and we need to accept that. For any potential client wanting a sunroom I recommend you reach out to us, and we can provide lots of references of similar project you are looking for

Excuse me ! I did express my concerns and complaints during the entire build not just in the review. Several times when I did express my displeasure I was told " but you'll like it when it's finished !" Concerning the patio door. .. ********** was changed from a single door with a transom light to patio doors without it even being discussed with me. You mentioned in your response that the designer thought patio doors "would better fit the design . so patio doors were ordered." I only discovered this when the components were delivered. I only agreed to the patio doors as I didn't want a solid wall butting up to the house. I still fail to see why , as per the original drawings a single door with transom light could have been installed. I feel the change was made so you could just use what was already fabricated instead of having to build something to satisfy my wishes. By the way , the patio doors aren't a normal full size. The part that opens is only about 24" , not even wide enough to fit furniture through! "Being busy" as you mentioned is no excuse for not sending required pictures or the General Manager on more than one occasion not calling to say no-one would be on sight that day. Once the call was received that someone was sick and not able to work , the **** should have hung up from that call and immediately phoned to relay the message. Taking pride in good service is one thing but actually delivering it is another ! I was told the build would take " several weeks ". Several weeks turned into nearly 4 months. As far as the final inspection goes , the worker on duty phoned the office and once the call was done I was told point blank "a final inspection was NOT needed!" There was no miscommunication or misunderstanding , I know what I was told.. Again, after spending nearly $132,000 no-one has had the decency to thank me for my business ! If you have been in business that long I find it interesting there aren't any glowing 4 or 5 star reviews in the site. So you didn't like the one star review .. you are lucky "0" was not an option as I didn't get what I thought I was paying for and the original designs show this.
