Read great things online. Great reviews...Filled out the online form. Received a call back to collect information. Then... NOTHING. Not even a call back to discuss the case or a call back to let me know that they don't think there is a case. Ghosted. Very unprofessional.

Signed up with AH in July 2022. The first lawyer assigned to my case did very little and assured me that the injury had to play itself out before pursuing a claim. After 11 months of not hearing anything (including not acknowledging my email updated of the injury) I heard from a new lawyer who had assumed my case. She asked for updated records from all my practitioners and along the way somehow caused great anxiety for my RMT. After all of these updates to my file the lawyer called today to say they would not be pursuing my case. This is over a year after they signed me on! Now I must go through the process of securing another law firm to pursue my case. The reason given for dropping my case is not new info and they have wasted a full year of time. Really wish I could leave some sort of positive slant to this but its been a complete negative.

Sometimes personal injury lawyers have to deliver bad news to clients that we don't think their claim will be successful or we don't think the claim is worth what the client thinks it's worth. This is always disappointing to the client. However, it is far better to be told the truth than it is to be strung along, believing there will be a positive outcome. At our firm, we ensure we have all the available information before assessing. These records take many months to obtain, especially during COVID. We can't always make a firm prediction of success without seeing the records and investigating liability (which also requires the records). After we have all the records and have done a liability investigation, if the lawyer has concerns about the case, the firm owners review the case. Based on their 25+ years of experience, if they do not think the case is viable, to be fair to the client the firm lets them know. We understand this is disappointing. It is also disappointing for the firm. (Keep in mind we are paid zero for our work in this situation). However, we feel we are being responsible and transparent giving an honest assessment of the case. Clients should require this from their lawyers.
