    Fraudulently kept my deposit and rented to someone else!
    My son and I put in an application for a studio apartment *** ******** *** after viewing apartment. We were asked for a deposit to secure the apartment. We were then told our application was accepted. Then we were told the apartment was given to someone with mobility issues. We were told there was another studio apartment available and we could view it and if we liked it could take it. We were not happy with the secondary option and was told it wouldn’t be ready until mid January (which didn’t work for us) we decided not to rent the second studio apartment as it was unsatisfactory. We never submitted an application or signed a lease for the secondary studio apartment **** ******** **** a totally different address than what we originally applied for. The management company refuses to return our money, even though we had not applied for *** ******** and have no lease agreement. Also it was the management company that awarded *** ******** ***** to another applicant. I have a copy of the original application. We require assistance in getting our money back as it was taken with the intention to rent *** ******** ** and being held fraudulently.

    To whom it may concern, 

    The unit she saw that was not *** ******** *****, actual unit was *** ********  *****. She saw that as a model suit. We showed the unit to multiple people. All our Bachelor apartments look exactly the same. we had few good applications and her application was also approved. Some other person rented *** ********  for mobility issues. 

     We offered her *** ******** *****, which is exactly same apartment. First she was okay to take it for Mid Jan 2023. We even made arrangements to make it ready for Jan1,2023. The apartment would have looked the same or even better shape. She simply changed her mind and did want to rent any apartment. She stated her self in one of her emails that she found something closer to her son's college and she wants her money back. We kept telling her several times when we re rent the apartment we will refund her deposit. 

    The deposit is usually non refundable if the person changes her or his mind. But we never said no to her that we will not give her money back. We posted another add and we were trying to rent the apartment. We have suitable application now to rent the apartment . When new tenant moves in ,she will get her money back.  Thanks , Manor Park Management
