    The team at **************** is a disgraceful property management company that harasses and discriminates against tenants. They will issue compliance notices with no transparency and without following any set of guidelines. They have unclear rules regarding compliance but will issue notices notwithstanding the fact that it is inherently unfair to issue a notice for unclear rules. Even worst, is that they have two sets of rules for Black tenants, and other tenants. If you are Black, they will say that they have a legal obligation to impose compliance notices, but if you are White, they will say that issuing a notice is done on a individual case by case basis and that they do not need to issue a notice for what is in essence the same violation. They treat Black tenants differently than White tenants, but refuse to address the discrimination that occurs. 2 different sets of rules that apply. Bunch of racist liars.

    So I'll say that the actual Sentinel management employees you can talk to in person, have all been great. Very friendly and seem like cool people. I've noticed high turnover although that's probably expected for roles like this.
    The negatives on my side are more around the policies of how the company manages communications and security:
    - Some of my emails just never get a response or take weeks which leaves me feeling lost
    - Recently my bike was stolen out of the condo garage after there have been multiple break-ins, which I don't blame these guys at all for itself. However, for some reason that nobody seems to want to tell me they do not mass notify residents after common area break-ins happen and so I have no confidence leaving my stuff where I would not even be told if it's stolen again and cannot gauge the risks properly. The condo board also doesn't care (and think a brief mention in a newsletter one time was sufficient), so maybe Sentinel were directed this way, but since I don't seem to get answers I fault both on the lack of transparency until I hear otherwise.
    I will be happy to re-visit my review over time if things improve.

As far as our direction, it comes from the board. If you have concerns, I would suggest you consider running for a board position at the next AGM. We unfortunately have no control over the board and if there decisions impacted your review of Sentinel, that is not a fair assessment of us.

    ******************************* from Sentinel Management is the worst most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 20 years of customer service skills. I work in Healthcare and I couldn't even imagine a person like her dealing with my dementia patients. She is inconsiderate, non empathetic and the worst is that she invalidates all your concerns and turns it around on you, to say the problem is ours and otherwise you're going against rules. Please be aware of this person when dealing with her. My partner owns the home and it's just been nothing but an issue. We had someone burn their house down, not once, but twice in 3 yrs and our property taxes have gone up, so we are paying for his arson. They are money hungry and apparently can't provide enough money to cover insurance costs of the home. To think that everyone in this neighborhood has to pay more for a homeowners erratic and criminal behaviors is just unacceptable. More and more I find out about my friends and families experience with this company has been nothing but stress and unprofessionalism. You would also think that with thw amount of money we all pay for housing, we would get much better services and care from our property management.

    As you know, we are required to follow the rules and policies of the Corporation. There is a standard process that must be followed for tenants as well as for registering your vehicle at this property. On Tuesday July 9th at 11:49am, we received a voicemail from a *************************, stating that his girlfriend lived at **************** and he had gotten a parking ticket even though he had registered. On Tuesday July 9th at 12:10pm we received a voicemail from ********************************* stating she lived at **************** and advising that her boyfriend got a ticket. The voicemail was not at all professional or the way someone should speak to another person in a business setting. On Thursday July 12th- 8:00am, we sent an email to the Owner of the home advising them that their tenants had been in touch with us regarding a parking ticket, but we had no tenant information on file for her unit. We attached the tenancy forms and rules of occupancy to the email I requested that the drivers license and ownership of the vehicle be provided so that we could lift the parking ban. The owner responded it was not a renter, but her roommate and she was out of the country. On July 11th at 6:11pm, the owner of the vehicle sent in his license (but not ownership) On July 12th We responded to the owner of the vehicle by email advising that I had requested that he be removed from the banned list and advised him of our parking policy. On July 12th we sent the email to **************** to have the ban lifted. On July 12th at 9:31 am we sent the email to the Owner advising that the parking ban had been lifted.

    Poor communication skills. Poor project management skills. Poor professionalism. Excellent at deflecting blame.Property Management isn't that hard but when you don't treat people with respect, clearly articulate problems, and provide appropriate references it can turn bad quick.I have not met or had a conversation with an employee of Sentinel that seemed interest or engaged. Most treat their job with a form of mild neglect. Not intentionally malicious just disinterested. Staff can act *****.

    Hi ****,We know you are upset based on your recent email. As you can appreciate, the damage you have outlined around your door is not normal "wear and tear". It does not make sense for the *********************** to pay for these repairs as this would essentially being all the other owners paying for your misuse and damage to your unit. Thank you

    Extremely unprofessional.Untrustworthy, no follow through, irresponsible.Copy and paste bills and reports without even correcting dates.High turnover in employees, but this is understandable due to their horrible leadership!!

    It is unfortunate our relationship with your condo did not work out.
    Unfortunately the board expectations were misaligned with what was possible. Property management is largely relying on third parties and we do everything in our power to push follow *** and get issues resolved as quickly as possible. It is unclear on what you mean about "copy and paste bills" - we can happily look into this further but this is the first time we are hearing of this and frankly it does not make sense.

    I live in ******************, and I send a lot of emails to ****, and I don't see any results. The building have cockroaches,is dirty and smelly. Nobody in the building to attend the problems. I'm a owner and I feel I respect, because I send email and nothing done or **** never answer the phone.The elevator is cover for the last 4 months and I told **** but still cover and spider and cockroaches Gidding behind.The garbage room stinks.Nobody clean the carpet in the hallway, the laundry room is very dirty.The locker rooms are full of dust and garbage because nobody clean there ( mine is the * in the 4th floor)I don't know what is the problem, I pay on time my maintenance but everything is getting worse and you never see the superintendent, and nobody to solve problems or cleaning the building.No respect whatsoever from you guys to the owners.What you do with the maintenance money suppose is for keep the building in good condition, clean and with no pest. Plus some people smoke in the building and nobody do nothing Can you please train your personal for they solve all the problems we notify by email and pictures to sentinel.?I appreciate if you can do that because the building is coming apart.203B. ***************

    I believe ************ could be on the the money so to speak... A new company took over a few months ago and Sentinel has missed the legal deadline to hand over the books... still waiting a month later... I wonder what ***** and **** are cooking in the back kitch... I mean office... hmmmm.... ************ has lost the fact that they work for the owners not **** versa. Four months after my closing a very big legal issue arose so before hiring a litigator I had a meeting with ************************* ( no doubt *****'s blood relative ) from Sentinel to hash out what might of happen during the transfer of the property, at one point I asked if he had the email chain relating to this issue and he flew in what can be described as a roid rage, ranting, swearing at me, he was called to *****'s office and probably educated on the severity of the situation, came back a little more docile... this is how they treat owners that hired and pay them... By reading Sentinel's response to the reviews you can clearly ascertain that they are more willing to argue in an online review site then addressing the issues directly with the people that have hired them... THE OWNERS...
