    My car was hit by another vehicle while parked on the street. I made the mistake of accepting a tow from Roadside Towing Services. I asked for my car to be towed to Simplicity Car Repair but the driver said that it would be turned away and that he had to take it to *****************. With my limited knowledge of the provincial regulation of towing legislation and being overwhelmed because of the accident at the time, I accepted that this was the only option. My insurance has been ready to make the pay out for a week and only once has the towing company replied to calls or e-mails. The tow company provided a payout amount that was inaccurate based on the services provided. In my opinion, this was done intentionally in order to look like they were responsive but to continue accruing impound fees while the invoice is corrected. Since then, they have not responded to calls or e-mails. I asked the person who originally towed by car for access to my car and despite confirming that my car would be available to access, it was locked when I arrived. There are multiple breaches of the legislation and their code of conduct. The only thing I was is for my car to be released immediately. They prey on the vulnerable who have are not in the position to make good decisions, and that is absolutely shameful.
