    I am writing this review against Stars Auto Sales and its owner, **************, for their unethical and potentially illegal conduct following an insurance settlement regarding a vehicle I purchased from them.Purchase Details: I purchased a second-hand car for CAD ****** from Stars Auto Sales, owned by **************. I paid a deposit of CAD ***** and commenced monthly payments of CAD ****** starting November 2021.Insurance Claim: After 22 months, unfortunately, my house and the car were destroyed by fire. At this time, the outstanding balance on the car was CAD ******. I filed an insurance claim, and the insurance company valued the car at CAD *********, issuing a cheque for this amount.Issue with the Settlement Cheque: Initially, the insurance cheque was made out to both myself and Stars Auto Sales, as they were the lienholder. I requested ************** to endorse the cheque so that I could deposit the funds and settle the outstanding balance. However, he refused and falsely claimed to the insurance company that the outstanding balance exceeded CAD 2*****.Unfair Dealing: Subsequently, the insurance company wrote a new cheque for the entire amount to Stars Auto Sales directly. When confronted, ************** informed me that I would not receive any of the insurance payout, despite the fact that the payout significantly exceeds the outstanding balance.Financial Loss: Based on the purchase details and payments made, I am *********** a refund from the insurance payout amounting to CAD ***** (Insurance Payout CAD ********* - Outstanding Balance CAD 13,760.32).I believe Stars Auto Sales' actions and ****************** refusal to return the overpaid amount violate consumer protection and ethical business practices, And no one should be dealing with this company.
