They cannot accommodate In June my husband planned a trip to ******** with Megabus for my birthday this past Friday. We called ahead because we know it's tough to plan because we both use mobility devices. We cannot book online like other consumers because of logistical reasons, which we understand. We have traveled for years going to and from Buffalo and ******* during our dating years. When we called we made absolutely sure to ask repeatedly if they could accommodate us. They repeatedly stated this was not a problem so we moved forward with hotel accommodations and a smaller mobility device for my husband, which is very expensive and time consuming because of our needs. The day of the trip we get to the terminal at Union station 3 hours early to double check and the lady at the booth stated we were all set and even called a supervisor to double check. Everyone said we would be fine. We went for a bite to eat and restroom because I knew I couldn't use the bus restroom and went to the gate to be met by a very shocked bus driver and attendant who immediately stated this was not possible to accomodate 2 wheelchairs. They tried moving the seats but with no luck so they offered to take only one of us but couldn't offer the second person because they were fully booked for days. The driver was on the phone with the supervisor as he offered to take only one of us.The driver gave my husband a customer service number which was closed at 1am. We were told we would get a refund but they escalated the call. Today he was told no refund, only a credit. Credit for a service we cannot rely on. My husband has begun the process of disputing the charges with his credit card. We did find a way to get to the vacation but we lost a day. As disabled people we are limited on options to travel. We deserve to feel safe and secure in our choices. We are human beings too. I thought we did our due diligence above and beyond. Please make sure they don't do this to someone else.***** K
