A Frustrating Experience at Kawartha Chrysler has been deeply disappointing, characterized by poor communication, unresolved issues, and costly mistakes.Engine Replacement (Feb 2024): Our engine was replaced under warranty after it blew up while a technician was driving it into the service bay. Despite being covered by warranty, we incurred a bill of $5,711.87 because Chrysler claimed they were doing us a "favor" by standing behind their producta product(Eco Diesel) known to have issues.Recurring Engine Light : Over the span of eight visits from May to August 2024, our truck was repeatedly brought in for engine light concerns. Each visit resulted in a new diagnosis and charges, but the issue was never resolved. The dealership kept trying "trial and error" fixes, including tightening hoses, replacing sensors, and changing filters, none of which addressed the root cause. Another dealership, which refused to look at the vehicle because the engine had been replaced by Kawartha ,mentioned that this ongoing engine light issue was most likely due to improper engine installation.Poor ******************** Behavior: On August 20, 2024, we spoke with the owner, who was dismissive and rude. He claimed their work was a "favor" and admitted they were simply guessing at the problem. When we mentioned leaving a negative review, he threatened to cease communication altogether.Fuel Costs: Over the course of several months, we were forced to pay over $1,000 for gas used by technicians to repeatedly test drive the vehicle because they couldnt properly diagnose the issue. Lack of Resolution: After months of visits and over $6,500 in total costs, our truck still has unresolved issues, including a humming noise and recurring engine light warnings. The dealership admitted they didnt know how to fix the problem, leaving us with a vehicle that doesnt function properly. Additionally, the technicians incorrectly installed one of the engine mounts, which caused a clunking noise.

As a long time customer of this establishment it saddens me to say this dealer ship has fallen to rock bottom. *** stayed on as a customer only to see the old time regular staffs quit. Some kept my information and contacted me and of course *** asked why the change. For one I had no idea that the service sales people are on commission. That was a shocker. Once I was told I needed a new brake job around *****. I made a next week appointment but on the way home it sat wrong on me. I stopped at ************* and they told me just front pads. The cost difference is significant. I told I took This information back to my sales person who complained to the service manager and thats when I was told by my sales man about the commission. Since then when Ive been in the service waiting room others waiting have broken out into conversations about their distaste and wrong doing with **. So much I could write, not enough characters. Several times Ive left having my car serviced only to have the problem not fixed or fixed half a** and requiring a second visit. Ive been told by KC staff that the turn over in mechanics is unreal. Most times only one or two licensed mechanics are employed and they over look the apprenticeship fellows. Yet my bill reflects licensed mechanics rates. My last visit they failed to hook my window and door k*** to work. Not allowing me to exit the door. Like I say. It is always a second visit needed to clean up the original appointment. This is just a very small complaint I personally have against this dealership.
