    $977.45
    Medical services
Dispute: Dr. W. stated she is a registered Homeopath in Ontario and said I can file the claim with my insurance company for the services rendered. Claimed was filed with the insurance company and was rejected because she is not a registered licenced health care practitioner in Ontario.
She stated I had several diseases based on test results. I wanted to get a second opinion to confirm the diagnosis, when asked to provide the test result to my doctor she refused.
She dropped me as a client because:
    1) I contacted the lab directly to provide me with the test results.
    2) I had questions in regards to her diagnosis and results.
    3) I requested several times for an official invoice with licence number to provide to my insurance company.
After my initial consultation, test and some minerals for a few day, she was to provide me with medication for three to four months to correct the medical issues she identified. This plan to alleviate these issues was not fulfilled after I spent $977.45. Initially she quoted me $600 on the first visit then proceed to charge more at the end of the visit and I became suspicious and began to ask questions on my subsequent visit.
This issue is unresolved as we are unable to contact her. She has no email address and does not answer our calls.

    Business Response

    Date: 16/11/2022

    Hello,

This report is a defamation of character against the Alabaster Wellness Clinic c/o Nadine W.

As it relates to the policy of the clinic, the patient was released from care because she was not being compliant.

Before any services were performed, the patient was given a contract that explained the services, outlined costs, delivery of care, and no refund for services and products purchased.

All licenses and accreditations are vividly presented for patients viewing, so, there was no misleading validation.

After services were completed, an invoice was presented for Trichology and nothing more.  Trichology or hair loss was the patient chief reason for visiting the clinic.

I will not engage nor reply to any further slandering against Alabaster Wellness Clinic c/o Nadine W. Consequently, based on the clinic's Judiciary policy, which was signed by the patient of a sound mind there will be no refund.

    Respectfully.

    NW

    Customer Answer

    Date: 18/11/2022

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    1) I did not defame Alabaster
Clinic / Nadine W. The only contact I made is to file this complaint with
the BBB. I believe that I did not get the services that I paid for. Before I
engaged her services, I asked specifically are you a Naturopath or a Homeopath
because that is what my insurance company will cover. Dr. Nadine W. stated
she is a Homeopath and that I can claim her services through my insurance. We
would not have engaged her services if she was not licenced in Ontario as a
    Homeopath. This is a misrepresentation.

    2) During my initial visit on
September 24, she gave me a stack of forms to fill out which she did not review
with me when I had questions about her fees etc. I signed all the required spots on
the forms based on her comment not to worry about it, this is just a formality, she will take care of me.

    3) She stated it would cost
me $600.00 and I will have a diagnosis and treatment plan. After the initial
visit I asked for an invoice/bill so I can send to the insurance company, she
walked me to her point-of-sale machine and only provided a **** purchase stub
for $977.45. She said she would provide an invoice on the follow up visit.

    4) On the follow up visit on
September 30, she told me I had several significant health issues based on the
results of the test. I was overwhelmed. This turned from trying to fix my hair
issue to fixing several medical issues. She said that my body needed to be
"balanced" before looking at my hair issue. She said she would order
me 3 months supply of minerals to get my body in "balance", walked me
to her point-of-sale machine and charged me $410.00 and only provided a ****
purchase stub. I asked again for an invoice for the initial visit and
subsequent visit for me to send to my insurance company and again it was not
provided. At this time, I still had no breakdown of an invoice for her
    services.

    5) After leaving the office
and time to think of what I was told, I decided to get a second opinion. I
called Dr. Nadine W. several times and left messages during the week and got
no response. She does not have an email address for me to contact her. As I
paid for this test, I decided to contact the Lab directly to obtain the full
report to send to my family Doctor for review.

    6) The Lab did not provide
the report and stated they would contact Dr. W. to contact me.

    7) On October 8, I received a
call from a very angry Dr. Nadine W. She accused me of being unethical for
contacting the lab directly. In her heated discussion, she ended the call by
stating that she would call me to pick up my minerals when it arrives at her
office and she had to go as she had a client waiting.

    8) On October 11, she called
me and stated I am no longer her patient and ask me to visit her office around
12pm as she said that she is going to refund all the money I paid to her. I
arrived earlier that 12pm, she refunded only $410 for the mineral and provided
a letter stating she is releasing me from "comprehensive health
services". She provided an invoice without a licence number and I
requested the licence # several times on the spot at her office and then she
proceeded to redo the invoice adding ********. I do
not know if this is a licence # as the insurance company does not recognize it.
Upon review of the invoice, I notice the
services stated on the invoice was inaccurate. She was very ************** in
the office as I was disputing what she said on the phone in regards to the refund but she
    refused listen or comply.

    9) The insurance company
rejected the claim because "the provider is not registered with an
association we approved" She is not a Homeopath as she stated.

    10) After paying $977.45
there was no treatment provided. She provided no evidence of my health issues
and refused to sent the medical report to my family doctor for me to obtain a
second opinion. Based on this I felt there was no services, and I could not be
reimbursed the fees by my insurance company as she misrepresented herself as a
    Licenced Homeopath in Ontario.

    11) I do not understand what
I was not compliant with and why she dropped me as a patient when all I wanted
was the full medical report to be sent to my family doctor for a second opinion
to verify the health issues she stated, treatment and the invoice.

    Sincerely,

    **** ***
