    We hired Komak to put a pool with a liner for us in 2023 which was supposed to be completed in a 2-3 week timeline (middle of August). After many setbacks with lack of employees, equipment breaking, not ordering materials in advance etc etc. we still did not have a pool by the end of November. We decided to break our contract and no longer have this project completed by Komak due to lack of confidence it would be completed in a timely manner and within the budget we agreed on. We have had other pool + landscaping companies now come to give us a quote to complete this project and they just shake their heads at the entire construction of the pool. We now have to redo many of the things that Komak had competed. Things are not setup for a pool with a liner and have been constructed for a fibreglass pool. The half stone work he did has to be raised and redone for coping, the stairs are not setup to have a liner put in, the walls that he put in with his dad and ***** are not straight and need to be redone. The wood fence he built is done very poorly. A few other things we encountered when working with Komak is that he threatened to put a lien on our house, when removing his equipment from our property he dumped all the useable gravel onto all of the unusable stone that was removed when he was digging the pool (that is still in our driveway as he refused to remove it) He did that with his skid steer and left huge ruts in our driveway on purpose and was acting quite scary while we had 2 little kids in the house. The stone supplier that supplied the patio stones also came by our house mid project and told us he was going to repo the patio stone as Kodi has not paid any of his bills. The list goes on and I encourage you to not use Komak to install your pool- it has been a nightmare for us.

    In 2021 we had Komak landscaping complete a 40k landscaping/backyard redo for us. This included painting our deck and paint the concrete around the pool and painting the fence- also putting lights inside concrete blocks and fake grass in our backyard. We signed a contract that he offers a 5 year warranty on his work. We notified him in 2022 that our deck paint has peeled off so bad that it’s being tracked in our house, gets in our food, in the dogs water and that it needs to be fixed asap! Also told him that the paint around the pool has come off and is landing in the pool and filter and it needs to be fixed too. He kept telling us that he is low on staff and that he will put us on priority for spring if 2023. We have tried contacting him many times including voice mails, text messages, phone calls and he has been ignoring us. We just came to realize he has blocked our numbers and blocked us from his social media (our daughter can find him and see his accounts but we can’t) so we are trying to find a resolution for this issue before bringing him to small claims court. My husband and I both signed the contract and we have it - so there is no need for this nonsense and he should be taking his business new or old clients seriously. We are technically under warranty until 2026.
    He moved his business from Pickering to Picton - so even if the business has moved , he is still under contract with us for warranty and issues that need to be fixed.
