This review is 1 year post sodding experience with Thomas Milner. We had a good portion of our lawn sodded and immediately had problems with grading/ large dips in the grass. We voiced our concerns and were told it would even out in time. Nothing was done about the grading in particular the hole by the gate where they dug out a large hole to open the gate instead of grading it properly. Then, because nothing was done to fix it, despite photos and a visit by his employees. I ended up rolling and breaking my ankle in the huge dip. Then, to add further insult to injury absolutely none of the poorly installed sod even came back this year. We watered faithfully and have the $900 water bill to prove it. We paid around $5000 to have this sod installed in June of 2022. Milner maintains that he has no control over the sod, he just “installs” it. This is absolutely ridiculous business practice. $5000 is a lot of money to pay for a broken ankle no product.

Good Evening. I appreciate your concerns and I have spoken to you regarding this situation already. I will explain. We at milners lawn care Inc purchase the sod at our suppliers and then we come in and remove all the old sod out new soil down then lay all new sod . Unfortunately like was told when we’re done it’s the responsibility of the home owner to keep up on the maintenance and health of the lawn . We can’t control the watering or the health of lawn when it’s completed . The sod farm will no warranty sod and we can’t warranty sod as when we leave it’s completely out of our hands on how it takes the following year . As an example your neighbours could have bugs like grubs or chinch bug and could move over to your property at any time that is exactly why we can’t control to the health of the lawn after we leave that we only install we don’t maintain Unfortunately, we don’t give refunds as the sod farm doesn’t give refunds or warranty it’s up to the client to have someone maintain it or yourself maintain it . I’m sorry you feel you had to bring it to the better business barrel

We lay about 60,000 rolls of sod per season and all her clients know at the beginning of the job. It is their job to maintain the property or have a company come in like Bobby Lawn Care. Do you look after the health? I’m sorry I couldn’t help you as again when it comes to sod or plants. It’s completely out of our control, after the work is done as we can only guide and tell you what to do from here on out and if it’s something you can’t handle, we highly recommend having a company look after the health of the lawn again I do apologize for the unfortunate situation

Last September we hired Milners lawn care to repair my back yard for X amount of dollars. I paid cash and have been after him for my receipt I have been promised it 4 or 5 times since
but nothing.. About 5 weeks ago I met him coming out of a plaza an and again asked about my receipt and he blamed it on his secu tary All I asked for was the detailed receipt. I also question their work but thats another thing. If you can help me get the detailed receipt it would be appreciated. I am also a senior and do not like his business practice

    THANK YOU
