I recently found 3 gift cards totalling over $113.00. These cards do not have an expiration date. The store is refusing to honour these gift cards as they were authorized by the previous owner. I contacted the store by electronic message and in-store today and both attempts were met with refusal to honour the gift cards.

    Hello

The gift certificates she was trying to redeem had not expired but were from a business that had closed. This business is a new business. We accepted gift certificates from previous owner for 6 months (at a financial loss to us) and stopped taking them in 2022. We never said they expired, the business they are from does not exist anymore.

    Thank you

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
This business is still open and operational by new owners. I was told by previous owner that the gift cards would be honoured. No time limit or date was given to use within a certain timeframe as gift cards do not expire. I would like to use the gifts cards or be refunded the remaining balance of the cards.
    Sincerely,
