    I spoke to the company as I was looking for a mortgage. I started the process by sending them my documents. I was stalled as the home I was refinancing had a flood. Burkes requested I get an appraisal done to secure a mortgage. I let them know about the flood and the home hadn't yet been repaired to get a true accurate pricing of the home. They told me to get one and let the appraiser know take that into account when determining the value. The damage was insured and was approved to be fixed and paid for by the insurance company. Burke's rep Andrei C. convinced me to get the appraisal and that the lender will take the true appraised value into consideration knowing the repairs are being made.
    Once I spent the money on the appraisal and it was sent to Burke's Financial, Andrei C. told me he will approach the lender once the repairs are being made.
    It is going to take two months for the repairs to be competed and my mortgage is due now. After all this sharing of my documents, paying for the appraisal, C. doesn't follow through with his end causing me to find another broker. I found a broker and we need the appraisal to move forward to secure the mortgage. C. and Burkes refuses to release the appraisal citing they are still working on getting me the mortgage. Now I have to spend another $685 to pay the appraisal company to basically print another copy of the appraisal for my new mortgage broker. Burke is over promising and under delivering and will not help you even when I have another lender. ******* **** *** ******. They get you to get an appraisal done right away to lock you in with them then they don't follow through.

    The client never directly reached out to us to request a copy of the appraisal. Upon receipt of the complaint, the agent handling his file reached out and let him know that he can request an appraisal release, and we will authorize it. Allowing him to get a copy and not pay for a new one.

    I am rejecting this response because: they are *****. I didn’t submit a complaint until March 27th, 2025. I made request on the 21st of March for the appraisal (********). 
    I only got action and received the appraisal after I made the complaint to the BBB. One lie makes this company not credible and I am so happy I won’t be doing business with them. I cannot trust them now just based on this ***.
