- Additional Info:A mystery shopping company may be using the name, address and phone numbers of "Ash City Worldwide" as a 'cover' or 'front' for their activities. According to information we have obtained, a consumer receives correspondence advising that they've been selected for a secret shopping opportunity, the letter comes with a cheque for a large dollar amount as well as instructions on how to proceed with their assignment. The assignment is to transfer a large amount of money to someone in another location through a Western Union. The provided cheque is meant as reimbursement for the wire transfer. The money is then transferred from the consumer's account before the bank has actually cleared the cheque. The bank then verifies that the cheque is in fact, fake, and the consumer has incurred a large loss as a result of the money transfer.
