    I have attached a timeline of events that should give a good understanding of what's ************* a nutshell, I contracted a company to replace a retaining wall. The project went grossly over-budget (for reasons I, nor the company could explain) and the work has stopped. My yard is a disaster, they damaged my property and aren't showing up anymore. Please note I would include the entire text history between me and the contractor, ******* *******. Size limits prevent me from attaching, but I look forward to when I can provide them to give you the full scope of our relationship. At this point, I need them to finish the job, fix the damages, and refund company bills they put on my credit card.

    Hello,Was searching for a ******************* came across an online article with the Top 10 in ******, listed SLC Contracting as # 1. Called them for an Estimate. Estimate was provided, agreed to it. On July 16th, 2024 Paid the required 50% deposit by e-transfer the sum of $ 2825. On the contract, the job was to start July 23rd, with instructions provided as to an outlined plan. On July 23rd there was no one at the property to start the project, made a phone call/emailed asking what their hours of operation was and what the delay was, I was told staff simply didn't show up to my site and it was hard to find reliable employees, also the stones hadn't arrived yet so they were going to delay the job until the following week. The week after, same issue, no staff, unable to locate a "********" person that was the best person for the job. I asked to please be informed when delays were going to happen as I understand them, due to weather or unforeseen circumstances but over and over again, week after week it was always me that had to reach out to them searching for a response as to what the delay was and what was the new plan. I did not receive any materials (gravel or pallets with the 18x18 patio slabs/stones). I sent a Final email notice on Thursday August 15 asking for them to please return my deposit and I was willing to forget this, move on and hire another company to perform the job as I need it done. They have not responded to that email, nor called or texted since. I'm including all email correspondence as well as text messages exchanged - last of which really worried me since they disclosed what could possibly be the actual First and Last Name of an employee their company let go - totally unprofessional on their part, must be a breach of privacy at some level. As I wrote on my final email to them, I just want my deposit back. They never had the staff to complete my project and were not honest to relay that to me and to not take on the project.     Hello,

    The company has not paid me the deposit. Started the paperwork to file small claims court. Planning to warn the public as well by contacting the local news to give them my story once the court proceedings end.

    I did respond to your message indicating the business had not paid my deposit even when I gave them notice that Id file a small claims court action if they hadnt refunded me by October 11 2024.

    How can you close a complaint when I the customer have not been paid and I made a deposit on July 16 2024!

    Also, I let you know after you informed me they indicated Id be refunded that I had filed a police report. They have been saying theyd start the job, then now refund me for months! They have made zero effort to solve this issue, zero! I have not asked for anything other than what the owe me.

    I filed the small claims court as this has obviously not been resolved.

    Once the court proceeds; I will make sure the public is aware to not trust them at all. Ill make sure to contact the local news to talk about this. Others should not have to go through this.
