    Paid a deposit for a truck cap. Found out no order was never placed. Owner closed up shop with our money leaving no contact info. Apparently several other people were effected.

    On October 14, 2023 I went to Truck Toppers and I ordered a *** ********** ******** X4s ******* cover that day and paid in full up front. The full amount I paid was $1807.99. I was told it would be in in around 2 weeks at the most and then could be picked up from them. Once the two weeks had come I still hadn’t heard anything from the company about my ******* cover so I called for an update and to check where my cover was. I never got through to them so I left a message. I never got a call back from my message so I tried calling multiple times and never got through to them and couldn’t leave any more messages because the voicemail was full. I tried the company website and it was down and I tried emailing as well and the email bounced back to me right away. On Nov 9 I still hadn’t hearing anything so I asked my Dad to go to the business and see what he could find out what was going on since he lives near there. He informed me that there was a notice on the door from a bailiff that they had been locked out of the building as of Oct 25, 2023 but the notice was valid as of Oct 1, 2023. My Dad contacted the bailiff and the landlord about the situation to see what we can do. The bailiff and the landlords both could not get in contact with the owners of Truck Toppers and they have since cleared out the building and it is empty. The bailiff said that if he got asked to clear out the building and my ******* cover was there we could get it but it never came to that. On Dec 15, 2023 I called *** ********** to see if they had a record of the sale from Truck Toppers of my ******* cover I had ordered and *** ********** said there was no record of the sale in their system and Truck Toppers hadn’t ordered anything since September or August of 2023 and April before that. They also said that in their system Truck Toppers was marked as out of business as of Nov 1. Truck Toppers never ordered my ******* cover that day and took my money anyways. **** ***** ** ***** *** ***** **********

    On June 6th 2023 I went to the truck Toppers to order a cap, I paid half the price down and was told it would be in within 2 months
    After 2 months went by I called several times only 2 be told it hasn't arrived yet with several different excuses each time I called
    In October I was told it should be in by end of week
    Today I drove to their business to find they have closed and a new company is moving in.
