We purchased a whole home generator from Poweraid Generators (Jim K.-owner). The generator was not commissioned/initiated to operate at that time because the natural gas line had to be connected. Once that was done, Jim promised to return to start/commission the generator to ensure it is in working order. Yet he demanded he gets paid the full outstanding balance and became very angry *** ****** ** when my final Interac payment failed because my bank flagged it as suspicious. Nevertheless, I contacted my bank to ensure the payment went thru. Over the course of weeks and months, we attempted to reach Jim via phone calls, texts and emails to get him to return but were only given different excuses - from being very busy, to having personal commitments, to being sick, etc. At this point, I am skeptical if the box sitting outside my home is a dud hence why he never showed up to start it? The electrician who was hired by Jim to do the work also reached out to me asking if I had already paid Jim for the generator because Jim never paid the electrician - not just for my install but other installations as well. ** ******* *** ** * **** ******* *** ***** *** ** ********** *** ***. After discovering your site and checking up on him, it appears he's done this to others. I'm concerned he will continue doing this to innocent people.

We contacted **************************  in May 2022 regarding a home generator installation. F.J. (Jim) K. contacted us and we met in person. We signed an agreement on May 24/2022 and provided a $6108.27 deposit for the installation of a ****** & ******** 20kw generator, to be installed 8-10 weeks (total cost $15707.00). All correspondence through texts have been kept as Jim kept informing of delays. After 8 months, we told Jim we want to cancel and asked for our deposit. Jim talked about the cost of the permit. I followed up with Hydro One to find out no work order was linked to our address. Also contacted Electricity Safety Authority who said there was no permit against our address. We have continually asked for our deposit with no luck. We realize our only option is small claims court but after consulting with a lawyer, still no guarantee we will get our money back. ** ****** *** *** ****** **** ******* ** the website is still there. We feel helpless with no true course of action *** **** ****** ** ** ***** ** **** **** ***** ***** ***** **** ****** ***** ** ******* **** **** ******* ******* *** * ********* **** * *********
