    I cancelled membership with Anytime Fitness in St. Catharines in July of this year - I received confirmation of this cancellation. However, on September 26, 2024 an amount of $30.50 was charged to my credit card. I emailed them and asked that they refund the amount to my credit card. They responded on October 30 indicating that a refund has been initiated. To date that refund does not show up on my credit card. Again on October 1, 2024 an amount of $25.98 was charged to my credit card. I again wrote them. To date I have received no response. I need them to refund the monies to my credit card and remove my credit card information from their records.

    I formally cancelled my membership in person on Sept 9th. Signed documents with a customer service representative. I have continued to be billed several times and management refuses to respond to my emails. I have been billed $96.05 per month. My membership began with ************** being double billed my onboarding fee. It took numerous attempts to get a refund. When I requested to cancel my membership, I was told they couldn’t meet me in person until about a week after the request which was 1 day after my rebill date. I was told (in writing) I would not be rebilled after that date.

    Attempted to cancel my membership several times and was ignored by the owner. My bill kept increasing and I was not using the facilities. I was on a month-to-month contract since my 1-year agreement had expired. The owner did not allow me to cancel unless I paid surcharges. My balance is now with a collections agency and is sitting at $278. I would like this balance waived or adjusted as I feel like I was not able to cancel, not because of lack of awareness on my end, but because of the unresponsiveness of the owner.
