I hired this company after using them for two previous moves. There was no problem with the first two moves, but this last one ended in damage to one of my dining suite chairs which was never brought to my attention by the movers, making me believe they were trying to hide the fact . The furniture was in excellent condition when it left my house in *** **********. Once it was delivered to my new house in ********, the men put it all in place and then I covered all of it with drop sheets to prepare for the walls to be painted by myself and my partner. The furniture was not uncovered for a couple of weeks and was certainly not used by anyone. I ** * ****** ***** ****** ** ******* *** was only using my kitchen table and chairs in the interim. I did not notice the damage until recently *** ** ****** ******* ************ **** ** *** ********** and immediately got in touch with the company once I discovered it. I sent pictures of the damage to them showing that the leg of one of the chairs had been broken off and had had a totally incompetent try at fixing it with glue and a screw being driven in on an angle only to be told that their employees do not carry tools, which is not true because they use tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture. Still I was told it was not their fault. I paid over $4300 for this move, plus giving a little extra for the men, and this is the way I am treated. I would never, ever recommend this company, ** ****** * **** **** ********** ********** to anyone who takes care of their belongings because they do not stand behind their customers nor do they address their customers concerns properly. It will never be their fault no matter what happens. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

As per the moving service agreement signed on all of your previous moves, you would be aware all damages are to be reported within 96 hours of the move. Our franchise can be lenient with this policy as we always want a fair claim for customers and can understand each case has different circumstances. In this case, you reached out over a month past your move date with pictures of a chair that had a poorly placed screw holding the leg together covered with glue and wood stain. Our movers do carry a tool bag with basic tools such as Allan keys or screw drivers; however, they would not have hardware or repair supplies such as screws glue or wood stain on the moving truck. The moving crew on your job all consistently have glowing reviews with satisfied customers, which it seems you were satisfied upon completion also as you noted you tipped them for a job well done. If we had been advised of a broken chair leg after the move, we would have scheduled our move manager to assess the chair for a repair plan of action and either brought the chair back to our office to be repaired or contracted a third-party repair company. This was not the case for your damage claim as it was clear somebody else had a poor attempt at repair and then tried to pass the blame on our movers.
