      I am not surprised to read all of the bad reviews here. My experience with this company has been nothing but ridiculous!. The story is long so I will not state it here, just a warning to other consumers, be sure to check out the company you select before committing, this one I would say stay away from When I stated that I was going to switch to another, the employee of Levac says thats fine with me.

      Wish they had the price on their website. Gas stations do, why cant they? After receiving a bill that was 2.5 times higher than expected last year, we have mainly been using electric. If we could work out what we are likely to be billed, we would be more willing to use the furnace.

      Hi ***,First we would like to thank you for reaching out to us. The price of propane fluctuates from day to day, retail propane purchases are private transactions involving a distributor and a business, and depends on a number of factors. Supply and demand, time of year, location are all potential factors that influence prices. It is always possible to reach out to us at any time to know the current price per litre listed should you wish to budget for an incoming propane fill up. We offer to our clients budget plan programs where we guestimate your usage for a year then provide you with a fix monthly payment for a period of 11 months and then we readjust on the 12th month. This option allows you to be able to know the exact amount to budget for propane each month.Also offered to our clients is a fix price, typically the fix rate contracts are signed in August or September and we analyze the market to determine a rate that we lock in for 12 months. It is usually a little higher than the ongoing rate but allows you to stay on budget should the price per liter spike up, however if the price per liter drops down you continue to pay the fix rate as per the agreed contract. We have different options available, it all depends on what works best for you. We do work very hard to continue to offer competitive rates year after year to all our customers.Please do not hesitate to contact one of our sales representatives should you wish to discuss or obtain more information of the above-noted options.Thank you!

      If you want your legal rights violated and poor customer service then by all means pick this company. But you'll be in for direct withdrawals, after revoking your permission (there's the illegal part), and then no apology just "there's nothing I can do". Not family oriented or good customer sercice. As a 3 year loyal customer (moved to the serviced area 3 years ago) we did our part, bills always paid on time, lots of notification time before a fill. This company cares so little about their customers that it shows with every phone call. Now I would like to say I chose this review as a 1 star (even if I could of chose 0) and that is only because the gentleman that comes and fills our tanks is friendly and wonderful and he deserves stars. The administration staff get a 0. Stay away if you can avoid and pick a company who cares about its customers or at least has policys in place so customers rights are not infringed upon, we are canceling our service and filing a complaint woth both the company and bbb.

      Hi *****,First, we would like to apologize as we can understand the inconvenience this situation may have caused you. As you are aware, we offer the option of pre-authorized payment to our customers, which you decided to adhered to a while back. We received note that you had called in on the Saturday to advise us to remove your account from the pre-authorized payment plan. The message was well received by our weekend receptionnist and was relayed to the proper department on the Monday which was the next open business day. Your request was treated accordingly on the Monday and your account was then coded back to regular payment and the pre-authorized plan was cancelled on our end. However, there are some delays associated with financial institutions and if a payment has already been scheduled or processed it cannot be stopped immediately and certainly not stopped during a weekend. This would explain why your last payment was treated and taken automatically early on Monday morning as scheduled and everything was already processed by the time our office opened on the Monday and it was impossible for us to cancel the transaction at this point.We tried to contact you following this review on multiple occasions but without any success in communicating with you. We take pride in our customer service and appreciate any feedback; we are again sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We will relay your kind words to our driver, we agree with you, do have an awesome crew who takes pride in all the work they do. Thank you and have a nice day!

      So levac has replied to my comment. I had decided a "while back" to sign up for pre autherized payments, my choice, yes, but it was also my choice, to retract permission for the auto withdrawals for which I was also well within my rights. As for the unauthorized withdrawal from my account that your company made I put in place a failsafe through my bank to retract the payment (thank goodness I know my rights). As far as customer service goes, saying that everything was done correctly with the passing of information is a stretch on reality. When I spoke with someone on the Monday I was told that the message given by the "weekend receptionist" wasn't clear and was confusing, that's why the payment wasn't stopped. Again poor customer service. Here's another kicker, trying to connect with a customer at a phone number they don't use and was supposed to be taken off the account doesn't count for attempts to contact. There have been 2 occasions where I have spoken to your customer service where I've asked to change my contact number and was told it was done. Called today many days past the "attempts" to contact gave my correct phone number, asked again to have it set as the contact number, and was met with "that's not the number we have on file for you" at which point I again, asked to have the contact number changed. Let's see if they actually call the correct number, or call a number that isn't used and claim, yet again, they made their attempts. I hope that Levac isn't the only propane supplier in your area!
