***** **** ********** ****. Project was primarily a bungalow main bathroom gut/redesign and laundry/furnace room gut/redesign. The job was supposed to take 4-5 weeks (********** **** ** *** ************ *** ** ***** * ****** *** *** * **** **** ************) After ~16 weeks, we asked the contractor to remove all the tools and material from our house and not return. ***** *** ********** *** ***** * ******* * ***** ********* *** * ***** ************* *** ******* **** ** ****** ***** *** ********** *** ***** *** ************* ******* ********** *** ******** There were so many issues about the work and work habits of the contractor that I cannot possibly convey in this review ** **** *********** The workmanship was extremely poor quality - especially for electrical (not following code) and plumbing (not following code). I have lots of pictures and videos of the product that was left with us. Lousy painting, worst caulking, use of outdoor concrete and paver sealant on indoor barn board. He removed studs from a load bearing wall in the basement. I've already engaged an electrician to fix the electrical work in the bathroom and laundry/furnace rooms. May need to get a plumber, as 2 installed vanities do not have p-traps. Faucets in the main bathroom and laundry/furnace room not secured properly. We never saw what were supposed to be custom wood cabinets for the laundry/furnace room, for which the contractor asked for $4600 the first week or so of the job. He was asking for advances throughout the project, at least once or more per week. The original price had a min/max range but very quickly exceeded the max by $10K. We paid him ~$41,500 and we bought the toilet, tub, faucets for the bathroom. When we hit the 90% of the $41,500, we said we would not give any more money until job was complete. He pretty well stopped coming (ex. 20hrs at our house for the month of Nov). The work site was not kept tidy - I was always picking up nails/screws *** **** * *** ******* ***** ****
