  We chose to work with **** based on his depth of knowledge and his genuine passion for his work. From the initial walk-through, **** worked with us to plan, design, quote, and complete this substantial renovation project for us. ****’s genuine passion for his work, helped to ensure he had a complete understanding of our goals/vision. This allowed him to see how the space could/would be used, and provide us with multiple suggestions that we had preciously not considered. We opted to proceed with most of these suggestions, and since completion, we are so thankful for this. His foresight and suggestions not only saved us money but increased functionality and overall quality. ****’s knowledge, experience and genuine passion definitely showed throughout the project and we couldn't be happier with the final results! We had a couple sub-trades that we had hoped to be use, and he was very accommodating. Despite not being hired in by him, **** made sure that everyone had a clear understanding of the schedule/timelines at all times. During the project we made a couple changes and added a few items which were not initially discussed. **** was never bothered, and was always very understanding, always wanting to make sure it was going to be the best for us, not necessarily the easiest for him. He always made sure to discuss any changes/additions with us to ensure there was a clear understanding of the goals, and to provide us with the best options. **** worked with us to bring our vision to reality, and was able to do so while staying on budget, and on time. We will not hesitate to call **** when we go to start our next project.

  I seldom write reviews but feel compelled to recognize J. Musselman Contracting for their quality of work, attention to detail, fast and friendly service.
  My wife and I have a second floor balcony that provides cover for the sitting area of our walkout basement. The original home owner created a makeshift system to waterproof that balcony which was failing. We watched every stage of a project that was completed in our neighbourhood by J. Musselman Contracting last summer and were impressed. Late last fall I called J. Musselman Contracting and spoke to the owner Josh. He promptly came over to assess the scope of work required to create a water proof balcony. We wanted new composite, soffit and railings that would compliment our home. Josh has a great eye for what works and was very helpful in the decision making process. Josh even had the aluminum wrap used to cover the supporting beams custom painted to match the colour of our choosing. Josh provided a fair, detailed estimate for the work which I expected to begin in the spring.
  I was pleasantly surprised when he called to tell me that he would fit us in and complete the job before the winter. Josh and his helper Will came over and did a fantastic job retrofitting our balcony with a water tight membrane and the above mentioned finishing touches. They started early in the morning and worked hard throughout the day, even when the weather was less than ideal. Retrofitting projects have their little hidden surprises but Josh navigated those hitches impeccably. I cannot stress the pride, the quality of their workmanship and their friendly demeanour. I know that our project was small in scale but Josh made us feel as though we were his most important client. I would recommend him to my family and friends. I have already made arrangements for another job this spring. Thanks Josh and thanks Will, we are looking forward to the warmer weather to enjoy our little oasis.

  Josh build a cover porch over a new composite deck. He was great to work with. Has quality sub trades. He always did the little extra we weren’t expecting. And we feel he provided great value for what we spent. I would hire him again.

  Josh is a very professional, friendly, courteous and detail-oriented contractor. He honoured deadlines, was quick to respond to our inquiries, arranged pre-project meetings with sub-contractors and reported frequently on the progress. He managed the whole project from start to finish flawlessly. We are thrilled with our new workshop/studio space. We look forward to working with Josh and his team on future projects.
