  ****** ** False "Risk-Free Refund" Promises – A ********* Experience I purchased a CPA Core 1 preparation course from PrepFormula attracted by their claim of a “24-hour risk-free refund” policy prominently advertised on their course landing page. Unfortunately, my experience revealed this promise to be misleading. After accessing only 12% of the course material within 6-7 hours, I found the content unsatisfactory. I immediately requested a refund within the advertised 24-hour window. My request was denied, citing vague terms and conditions regarding "excessive usage"—terms that were not disclosed on the purchase page or explained clearly. Based on their own course tracker, my usage could not reasonably be described as “excessive.” To make matters worse, my subsequent attempts to contact the company were ignored. Their listed phone number does not work, and their business address appears to be invalid, further diminishing their credibility. Despite multiple emails requesting escalation, no one from the company has reached out to resolve the issue or even clarify their policy. PrepFormula’s practices feel intentionally *********, leaving students trapped after falling for the promise of a "risk-free" purchase. I trusted their advertised claims but found their service and handling of my refund request completely unprofessional *** *********. I am sharing this review so that other students are not misled as I was. If you’re considering this course, I urge you to carefully research the company and their refund policies before making a purchase.

  I took their Sep 2023 CFE prep course, which came with videos, notes, and some credits that you can use to have your cases marked by a mentor/tutor. I made use of the videos and notes a lot. It was great that I was able to print out the notes and have them handy. However, the tutor that I was assigned with wasn't so great. It was difficult to communicate with her by email. There was a time when I wanted to ask her if I can send her my cases to be marked. I sent the email to her personal account as well as an instant message within Prepformula's website. When she hasn't gotten back to me after a week, I was running out of time so I requested Prepformula to assign me to a different tutor. By the time I was reassigned, I had run out of time and went into writing the CFE without having Prepformula marking any of my cases. I am also very disappointed that my unused credits expired after the Sep 2023 CFE. I know that that information may have been in the conditions of the package at purchase, but I am still disappointed. Thirdly, I wished that someone from Prepformula would've taken their time to show me around how to navigate the specific course that I signed up for. The course came with a lot of information and it was a challenge trying to understand how the whole course is laid out. ** ************** *** ****** *********** *********** ** ** ****** ****** **** ***** ********* ****. Yes, Prepformula is cheaper than ****** *** other services, but you will get cheap quality from Prepformula. If you do decide to go with Prepformula, please ensure you are assigned with a tutor/mentor who is quick at communication.
